LGCHL PSN - World JR Championship Season 11


WJC Criteria
​

WJC is for Veterans, Amateurs, Draft Picks, or Prospects who:

• Ended the season on a CHL roster (or TC), not in the LGCHL PSN S15 playoffs, and NOT on an AHL or NHL (active/17 man-roster) roster.

• Were eliminated in the first round of LGCHL PSN S15 Playoffs.

WJC Position Changes
​

If you would like to play a different position (for WJC) than what you signed up for already, please submit it in the Position Change Thread. All positions change requests MUST be made by the player in the Position Change Thread. The staff in charge of the WJC tournament will mark it as Done once your position has been changed.

The deadline for submission will be (Jan 21, 2021 @ 4 PM ET)

WJC Timeline
​

• Sign-ups open: Currently Open - Thursday, Jan 21 @ 6 PM ET
• Ownership applications: Open - Wednesday, Jan 13 @ 6 PM ET
  
• Owners Announced: Friday, Jan 15
  
• Draft for WJC: - Thursday, Jan 21 @ 8 PM ET
  
• WJC Pool play:
  • Week 1 - Jan 24-25-26
  • Week 2 - Jan 31-Feb 1-2
• WJC Semi-Finals: (Best Of 7) Feb 7-8-9 (3-3-1 Format)
  
• WJC Finals: (Best of 7) 15-16-17 (3-3-1 Format)

WJC Format
​

• Each Team will have 1 Owner, 1 GM and 1 AGM.
  
• Each team will be required to draft 14 Players.
• Each team is required to carry 9 Forwards 6 Defencemen and 2 Goalies.
• There will be no waiver wire and no mechanism to send players down. Call-ups will only be allowed in order to fill a roster spot due to a player quitting or being removed from the Tournament (by the League).
• Players that quit or are removed from WJC will receive a 2-season ban.
• Any situation not covered by this document or the LGCHL PSN Constitution will be reviewed and adjudicated by the LGHL PSN Commissioner.

WJC Staff
​

WJC S11 will be run by the CHL Staff and BoGs.

Staff members are here to answer any questions about WJC, deal with all the situations that arise, and ensure that WJC is a smooth and functioning operation.

WJC Playoff Qualifying​

16 teams have been broken down into 4 groups of 4 teams.
Each team will play each team in their group 2 times, and each team in other groups 1 time.
The top team in each group will qualify for the S11 playoffs.

Standard CHL tiebreakers will be used in the case of ties:

Tie Breakers In Order of Determination:
● Greater number of regulation wins
● Greater number of points between the tied teams (head to head)
● Greater positive goal differential between goals for and goals against the entire season.
● If two teams remain tied after the above criteria are met, a tiebreaker game will be played between the tied teams​
