XBOX 360 problem

My Xbox 360 is acting up and Im looking for advice.


Its either the drive or the disc but I'm thinking its the drive.

Ive had 3 straight disc read errors in a row on nba 2k6. I've had these errors in the past but its always been once in a while never like this. The Drive seems to never reach full speed. It used to always sound like a airplane taking off but now it seems to never reach those levels of speed. Every game the onouncers get further out of sync and then just stop shortly before I get the read error.

Has anyone else here had their drive seem to stop going full speed?

 

I haven't had that problem but I know of two others that have. Your disc drive is about to bite the dust.

 

Yeah I'm having the same problem. Mine is on the verge.

 

Mine had one disc read error before it crapped out. It might be on its way out, hope its still under warranty.

 

hopefully it can pull threw for another 26 days LOL then just get an Elite if you don't have warranty that is.

 

Sounds like its on it way to the white coffin. My had the same symptoms before it died..

 

I see there are replacement drives what drive is the best one and how hard are they to install?
