no, things saved on your hard drive are not recovered. My profile, acheivements and all that were recovered. But not my saved games. I had to redownload all of my map packs, updates, roster updates ect ect... And all of my single player games like dynasty modes, Lost Oddyssey saves ect ect. I couldn't regain, so I have to start all over.
I am on my 5th right now. Also on my second NHL 08... Note I have never sent my hard drive back to MS with an RMA as it has never failed. So if your hard drive is ok don't send it.
My elite has been giving me unplayable disk errors for about a month now and two weeks ago it got to the point where it would do it 9 times out of 10, untill yesterday it just stopped reading disks completely. So i'm sending it out tommorow for repair.
what is the repair timetable these days, it used to be 6 weeks, then 4 weeks, what is it at now, just curious, because im sure ine is gonna die one of these days
Gradually the time it took to get 2 red lights has decreased and I'm gonna be calling it in this weekend.
This is my 3rd one, it lasted from June 07 to May 08, Honestly it still worked but I wanted to use my replacement plan before it expired and get all of the new hardware (HDMI/Falcon). It was only a matter of time that it stopped working.
Mine just died last night. The drive went on it and all my games were suddenly "unplayable disc". I don't know if things have changed but I was getting mine back in a weeks time before....I'm crossing my fingers.
They are much more effecient in Canada now. I called Monday, got the box Tuesday, sent it back Wednesday and got the new one Friday

Well, I was playing my 360 fine this morning and afternoon. Then it froze while playing Search and Destroy on Downpour. So I turned it off, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Turned it back on, and bam it had a flashing red light with a HUGE "E 74" at the bottom of my tv screen, so I decided to look on the internet more and I found a "solution" which was leave the x-box sit with all the cords out for 15-20 minutes. I tried that, and that failed. So I called the x-box support, and he told me they're going to send a box out to me. How long does it normally take to...? 1) Get the box? 2) Send it back to them? 3) Get the xbox back?
i had the same thing happen to me like 6 weeks ago to get the box it take 2 days to get it and 2 days to send it to them i think they just gave me a new xbox so it takes about 6 week and a half but i people tell me a a whole 4 weeks to get it back
I got mine back Friday , unable to get it until today..... it's a refurb :-? but oddly enough it does run quieter than my last one, I also noticed a smal rattle inside and the drive spins faster than the last one :roll: MS threw in a free Month of LIVE, not bad considering I only missed 2.5 weeks
