Media Eastern Conference Prediction

Hello all. It is time for the Conference finals!

Will poopy snoopy have diarrhea ? Or will bake once again just fall short on his cup dreams.

I'm going to anylize both teams with their strength and weakness, then determine what I think each team has to do to win their respective series.

First up.....


LVP -

I think we can all agree that the Phantoms have beaten 2 of the teams who were expected to win it all in the east. Both Hartford and Wilkes-barre were odds on favorites to come out of the east and the phantoms took it to them.
The pleasant surprise has been snoop and his line going 1-1-1 vs those teams. I think if they can steal a game from one of rochesters better lines then they can really pump their way into the cup finals.
On paper Rochester seems to have more depth in terms of offense but Lehigh in my opinion has some of the best goaltending in the league.

@Leprechaun205 - 82.7 sv % - 2.40 gaa

@FYSTYSNAKE - 80.8 sv % - 1.85 gaa.

These 2 can steal games along with team defense. Snoopy has to be given credit as his team seems to be buying in on team defense. Watching their streams they don't really have real studs, but 5 capable players who make eachother better. It's like how LA won the cup in 2012. A real team style after being a mediocre regular season team.



Keys to success.


Snoopy must line match and keep his line in games.

Both goalies have to steal a game or two.

Hopestrom and monster Jay have to help put pucks in the net on Rochesters solid d core.

Weakness- Lack of star power, third line that may struggle. Not a clear cut #1 d pair who may struggle against bakes line

Strength- depth, goaltending, 5 man unit style. Ea luck if @HockeyTownHero9 has anything to say.






Now on to ....


Rochester has so far stopped both St. John's and Binghampton. Both were offensive teams that could score. Also both teams with a lack of defense. In those 13 games Rochester scored 51 goals. That's 3.92 goals per game. That is a very respectable number and give credit, but then again I feel the goalies and team defense of LVP might really affect those numbers. LVP against Hartford and Wilkes barre gave up just 2.4 goals per game. Considering Hartford was third in goals for that's pretty impressive. In order for Rochester to win they must find holes in LVP defense while keeping pucks out of their net. If Rochester can score like they did in the first 2 rounds, then I can see them over powering Lehigh valley and their average offensive lineup.

Keys to success-

Score lots of goals while keeping up the defense to match LVP.

Keep bake and his line hot. Beat the top line of Lehigh. Win against Lehigh best and hope snoopy can't compete against your depth.

Have ballzy make saves and have blisdon play like shea Weber.


Weakness - average d core aside from phrackture, blisdon, and pitcher. Third line might not be enough against a good line.

Strength- solid first line, good top 3 d. Capable goalies in ballzy and fiddlehead. Star power.



My prediction-

Although Lehigh has kept Hartford and Wilkes barre to a minimum, I can see snoopy and his line falling short. I can see this series being a battle of third lines. I think line matching is HUGE. Can LVP depth beat bakes line? Can Rochesters bottom line win against stellar goalies and team defense? I think whatever team uses their depth the most will ultimately Come out with a win.

Prediction-

Rochester in 7.

I think snoopy might steal a game and LVP can win against Rochesters 2nd line.

I feel in game 7 the phantoms are missing that one go to player like Rochester has in blisdon phrackture and bake. Rochesters firepower will be overwhelming to Lehigh bottom 2 d pairs.





Final note. Hope you enjoyed. I looked at a lot of numbers and tried to be non biased. I'm not too framiliar with either team so I think it helped in my write up. Overall both teams have deserved to be where they are and I wish them both good luck. Please don't get mad at my prediction LVP. I'm sorry lol
