Gears room tonight

Setting up a Gears room tonight at around 8:30-8:45 cst with a mix of my friends and some various league guys. Should be guys coming and going, so if any of you want in some action tonight get in touch with me on aim/msn or on live.

That was cool as hell, I don't think I fired a single after the first round or two I love snipers who just sit there for me to come chainsaw them

Yeah, I found away around the Shotgun. After I started using my new tactic, I probably died on my BerseRker raid about 1/3 as much as I was earlier.

 

Pistol owns the shotgun and your silly chainsaw. Pistol melee overrides the shotgun animation (in my experience) and it is more powerful than the shotgun unless the person is extremely close to you.

Well part of the time you were getting me because I was in the process of switching from one weapon, usually the sniper, to the shotgun and didnt get it out in time to get a shot or an accurate one at that.

I havent used the pistol much yet. Might be worth checking out. And I am sure I will be running a room tonight if you guys are interested.

 

Oh, it's worth it. The pistol, even with out an active reload, can take down someone faster than the lancer. Just make sure you aim for the upper body / neck so you can improve your chances of getting a head shot. And as I said before, the melee is really quick and can bring someone down in two swings, which is easy because after you hit them once they are stunned for a second.

 

Ya, well shooting them also stops the chainsaw animation, which prevents them from getting you. The way I try to stop em is by rolling away and either blasting their head off if close, and if a bit far, blow their legs out from under them and then walk up and head shot em. Problem is the roll doesnt work if I am sucked up against a wall.

 

That's the thing I hate about these games sometimes. No way a pistol should be more effective than a shotgun. In Halo, the pistol was also the weapon of choice to melee with. It's just stupid if you ask me.

 

Yeah, but the satisfaction of pistol whipping a chainsaw wielding maniac sounds pretty fun.
