LG Stat & Power Ranking System 2.0

Hello Everyone,

Its a new year and a new console generation, and we feel its time for a new and improved our already industry leading Stat & Power Ranking System, one that is much more detailed and smarter then ever before. Since LG discovered the EA NHL API, we now get more stats but we also can consistently count on those stats and their 100% accuracy.

Universal Power Ranking Rating

(in this image each player is displayed their "Game Rating", each bar is their "Offensive Rating" and Defensive Rating).

We've created a universal power ranking rating for each player. This number comes from that users performance for each game, inside this number is the combination of 3 sub ratings

• Offensive Rating
• Defensive Rating
• Team Rating

Each of those 3 categories is weighted differently, for example if you are a forward, your "Offensive Rating" counts for 60%, where Defensive rating counts for 15%. If you are a defender, there is a much higher weight for your defensive rating.

Each "Category" comes from individual game stats, for example goals, assists, shots on goal effect your "Offensive Rating", your passing %, takeaways, giveaways and interceptions count towards your Defensive rating. Overall how your team played together like team shots on goals, shots and goals against, time on attack and special teams ratings count towards your "Team Rating".

The main goal of this new system is to give each player a number from 1-100 as that range is simple to understand. Its important to note a player could get higher then 100 on a game, and that there are many different paths to reach 100. We do track numbers higher then 100 but for cosmetic purposes limit the display of anything higher then 100.

This new system will effect everything from daily 3 stars to report cards, more on that later.
In the meantime here are some examples of changes with this new system:

Player Page

• Shows the players overall season rating (53)
• Shows on each game what rating that player earned

Stats Page

• Added 4 new categories, Rank, Off, Def, Team
• Can sort and filter by these ratings
• In this example show who has the highest offensive rating for defense men

Roster Page

1. Show the entire teams ratings in on place

 

General Updates - Nov 14th 2021

New "Fast Signup" System
A feature a lot of members asked for, a faster easier way to signup for multiple games at once
To use

• Goto your schedule
• Beside the league (LG LGHL or LGCHL ect) click the "Fast Signup" button
• Simply select which games to fast signup for

Apple Push Notifications
Apples push service changed the way it did push notifications and LG unable to send push notifications to those with an apple phone and the lg app installed. As of yesterday, you should again, get your push notifications
