    This is the official rule set of LGCOD including gameplay options that are required to be followed and procedures that will make this ladder run smoothly.​

    ** These rules are subject to change at any time. Any changes made will be listed below the thread by one of the Administrators. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to contact us. **


    1. Eligibility

    • Every team must read, understand and agree to the rules for participation. The team owner will be responsible for accepting and agreeing to the rules on behalf of the entire teams roster. Thereafter, each player is expected and required to abide by the Rules, and any failure to follow them will result in punitive measures.
    • Each player may only use his or her own account.
    • Each player must be signed up completely on the LG Website with their PSN ID linked in their profile.
    • Each team must have between 4 and 6 players on their roster to participate. No more, no less.
    2. General Rules & Conduct

    • Every player is required to follow the code of conduct set up wonderfully by the League Gaming website. There will be no tolerance for offensive, racial, illegal, or things of inappropriate nature whether it be posted on the forums, chat box, or with anything associated with or relating to LGCOD Gaming.
    • Be respectful of your peers and staff.
    • If these guidelines are not followed punishment will be handed out on a case by case bases handled by the LGCOD or League Gaming staff.

    3. Player & Owner Responsibility

    • Players –
    • Teams and players are required to be available to play during the schedule times. A complete team must be available no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time for each match.
    • Intentionally losing a game or any other action of a similar or reprehensible nature will not be tolerated.
    • Abusing spectator, including but not limited to stream sniping and/or ghosting will be treated as cheating. If a team or player is suspected of cheating, the LGCOD Staff reserves the right to take punitive measures.
    • Players are strictly prohibited from using any other person’s account for any reason whatsoever.
    • Owners –
    • Each team will have an Owner who will act as the main point of contact for Administrators to deliver any information regarding the team up to but not limited to
      • Rosters
      • Team Availability
      • Team/Player Information
    • League Communication
    • Each team may designate a backup representative (Captain) should the Team Owner be unavailable due to unforeseeable or emergency circumstances. Said person can act as the replacement on all matters except the existence of said team. If a Captain is required to act in the Team Owner’s place, they shall be responsible for all of the Team Owner’s duties until otherwise instructed by an their Owner.
    • Every Team Owner is responsible for updating the Administrators with any information pertaining to his or her own team as well as making sure that any requested information is provided to the requesting Administrator(s) in a timely fashion.
    • Team Owners are responsible for updating the outcome of matches with the proper score in a timely fashion.
    4. Season outline
    • Season dates will be announced in their own thread and as of now will be in a ladder format. This is subject to change in future seasons. Teams will play “matches.” Each match consists of a best 2 out of 3 series and will be played out on 3 separate maps selected at random by the LG website. These maps are to be played no matter what and failure to do so will result in a loss and possible further punishment.
    • Teams are limited to a MAXIMUM of 48 games per regular season. This is to keep the standings competitive and to stop teams of players from playing 24/7 in order to gain a competitive advantage despite their skill.
    • Rosters will be locked on a specific date announced in the roster/signup thread.
    • No changes are to be made to rosters after this date unless a team folds/is removed and a new team is made starting with a new record.
    5. Gameplay Settings

    These rules are designed to stimulate a competitive environment where ultimately gun skill and team strategy triumph over exploits and items/perks/attachments that take away from this.

    Our current LGCOD Ruleset is as follows (only changes from the default settings are shown, everything else is to remain unchanged):

        Snipers: M21, Dragunov, Barrett .50 Cal restricted (all auto snipers are restricted due to trigger lock)

        Perk 1 – Bandoiler (all else restricted)
    
        Perk 2 – Stopping Power, Sleight of Hand, Juggernaut (all else restricted)
    
        Perk 3 – Extreme conditioning, steady aim, deep impact, iron lungs, dead silence (all else restricted)
    
    
    

    LG SPECIFIC RULES –


    • Teams are limited to 1 sniper class per round. It can be any person at any time, but only 1 sniper is allowed to be used during a round.
    • Teams are limited to 1 shotgun class per round.
    • No claymores
    • No RPGs
    • No C4s
    • No hanging out in spectator mode. If a player is caught spectating/ghosting the other team, their team will forfeit the whole match.
    • Out of the map glitches not allowed:
    • Ambush sewer glitch (colt)
    • Any other bugs or out of map exploits (please provide video/screenshot proof of this being performed and necessary punishment will be handed out).
    **Skill Jumps are allowed – for example: jumping on top B apartment roof on Crash is allowed. Use common sense. If you can see through/under the map it isn’t allowed. If you clip through an object to get to a certain place it is not allowed. Specifics and exceptions may be made and added to the rules at any time.

    Planting the bomb inside of an object or purposely clipping/glitching a plant is not allowed. The bomb must be visible.​
    Failure to comply with these rules will potentially result in a match loss, map loss, and/or round loss on a case-by-case basis.​
    6. Match Procedures

    7. Playoff Structure

    • The top 8 teams in the standings will make the playoffs. ** Depending on league team total (Could be 4,6,8,16)
    • The tiebreaker procedure is as follows:
      • Head to head
      • If still tied ->
      • Rounds for vs rounds against
      • If still tied ->
      • 1 Best of 3 Series (maps selected at random)
    • Each round will consist of a best of 5 maps series. Each team will have a choice of 1 map each. The remaining 3 maps will be selected at random by the website.
    • They will have a 5 day period to complete a best of 5 maps series against the opponent. Failure to complete this best of 5 series will result in a forfeit loss for both teams or one team on a case by case basis.
    • Availability for games must be sorted between team owners. If no mutual availability can be met please contact an LGCOD Staff member – games will be given a scheduled time by an LGCOD Staff member and forfeits will be handed out accordingly to the teams who do not have 4 players after 10 minutes of their scheduled time.

    8. Stats/Reporting a Score


    • Until the league gains traction, the only responsibility of teams is to report the correct score for each map played with included screenshots. THE ONLY TEAM RESPONSIBLE FOR INPUTING SCORES IS THE WINNING TEAM. Failure to correctly report stats and upload screenshots will result in a loss for both teams.
    • Required material:
    • Final score of each map. (Rounds won/lost for each team)
    • Final score of the match. (2/3)
    • Player stats (kills, deaths, plants, defuses, etc.)


    9. Player Disconnects


    • If a player disconnects before the first round begins (the countdown timer reaches 0) the lobby is to be reset so that all 4 players can rejoin for each team.
    • If a player disconnects any time after this, they are not allowed to rejoin until the map is completed (this means 3v4, 2v4 etc. until a new map is started).
    • A player may only join back into a lobby once a new map begins.
    • Each team is required to start a map 4v4. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit loss for that map and eventually the match.
    • If a team does not have 4 players within 10 minutes of a match start or map completion, they will forfeit that map. Screenshot proof is to be provided in order to call a forfeit.
    • Examples:
      • Your team starts a map 1 with 4 players, 1 disconnects in the 3rd round. They must wait until the start of map 2 to bring him back.
      • Once map 1 is finished and the new lobby is created for map 2 or 3, the player must either be replaced or rejoin the lobby within 10 minutes to begin the new map 4v4. If this cannot be completed within the 10 minutes after creating the new lobby that team will forfeit the map. They then have another 10 minutes to find a replacement if the resulting score is not 2/3.


    10.Rules Disclaimer


    • All rules are subject to the LGCOD Staff and any complaints will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
    • All rules are subjected to be changed at any time and will be voted on by either the LGCOD Staff or LGCOD Community on a case by case basis.
    • This league is focused on providing a competitive COD experience. Games are meant to played and rules are meant to be followed. Any rules being broken to gain a competitive advantage will receive necessary punishment. Any rules being abused to win matches on “technicalities” will be subject to complaint and can be reviewed by the LGCOD Staff.

    10/11/16 2:19 PM EST – Gameplay changes.

    • Sniper class restrictions – M21, Dragunov, Barrett .50 Cal – Restricted due to spamming with trigger lock.
    • ACOG attachment restricted – Restricted due to a bug where it changes the damage of the snipers to 1 hit kills on the foot.

    • Battle Chatter – Disabled – Important that you turn this off. Thanks.
    • Team Switching – Disabled/Enable, doesn't matter – if caught ghosting opponent you will forfeit match.

    23/11/16 4:39 PM EST – Roster size changes/Playoff Format

    • Roster size has been increased to 6 to encourage activity and games being played.
    • The number of teams who make playoffs will be adjusted accordingly to how many teams are in the league. Could be 4, 6, 8, 16 depending on the # of teams.
