Adding another new feature that i hope you guys will really enjoy: Live Scoring How it works: We already know what times the games are, who's in it and who the teams are, and we also get data from XBL. So from that, we have a script that will check a users XBL status, read the info string (example: Playing NHL 13 Playing Online F CGY *: 3 at TOR : 4), parse it and return it to the site, where you guys can follow all the games actions live. The section has been added to the forums home page (right below the chat box), So that guys can chat while they scoreboard watch. This section automatically refreshes, and will display the latest updates first. It will also "try" to figure out if a game has been disconnected, and recalculate the score. This feature is currently in Beta (so there might be some bugs), but it's a feature only found at Leaguegaming! Enjoy guys
It's re-writen actually. And is very tough on what is accepts as a game, which reminds me, we need all the "EA" games for teams
The old problem was always how it handled disconnections and faceoff loops (loops being much less frequent now).
I'm pretty sure i have that solved this time round, but still, disconnects make it almost impossible to get the score 100% right
~Update~ Updated the live scoring system this morning to be more efficient, and to better monitor score changes. Basically , some people in the game would be showing offline and it couldn't read their score, This change is handed to find and stick on a person known to be in the game and is showing the score. Check it out tonight guys!
Sick. Going above and beyond with the integration again. From a purely technical standpoint, this is the best site out there.
I really don't know why there aren't way more players in LG. I've yet to see any other leagues will half as many organizational tools or site integration.
We will grow in time (quicker than expected), I think we as a group need to prepare and try to maintain a quality and mature league as we grow. Word is getting out and we don't yet have a full system to handle it but we are hard at work trying to prepare for next season and give everyone a place to play.
Getting the word out is always the hardest part of any site. Sites like us can't do really any type of tv or radio marketing so it really comes down to users like you guys, to tell your friends. I will say that this new version of the site ( with the new scoreboard, mobile app ect) is less then a month old. So hopefully we are on our way, but we still need you guys to spread the word.
