Canucks picked up Bernier from the Sabres for a 2009 2nd Round pick and a 2010 3rd round pick. Smart move, we get some more size upfront. Bernier scored 16 goals last season, 13 of them he Scored as a Shark on the 3rd line. He'll get some playing time with the twins i expect him to get atleast 30 goals this season.

 thats what they get for hiring this GM. what the Canucks need is a SCORER. if nothign change before this season or during the season, i think Luo will not sign for again with the Canucks.

i agree to ya...... very disappointing indeed to be a Canucks fan right now. :-?[-(

yea thats the best move they made this year....getting bergeron back...lol. I think they will be good....but again not good enough. they need a goalie. Manny Fernandez and Tim Thomas are not the answer. Tuuka Raask may be, but he's not ready yet. a couple more years of mediocrity, and then maybe they put a good team out there. I'll be waiting and watching as usual

Jacobs, what a pathetic piece of crap for an owner. Remember when the Bruins had Guerin and Rolston? Yeah, we were pretty good then.

I love Dougy Weight. I've known him personally for almost 20 years. But man I am so pissed that he went to the Isle. I mean there was talk about him coming to detroit. But whatever it sucks for the Isle cause they need some younger talent. Not dougie who has been a suitcase in the NHL for the past 6 yrs. But you guys have my old team mate growing up danglin for you guys. Hiiiilbert

Weekes is not garbage at all, he was a very good goalie with the Canes, he was the only reason they won against us in the playoffs. He played pretty well for the Rangers too I believe when he was brought in, I think it was him and Dunham fighting for the #1 spot.

We do need a new goalie for the future, but I dont think we need to go trading for one now or anytime soon, we need to trade for scoring and D,

Weekes is fine and cheap in his role. He could even be a #1 starter for alot of teams out there as well.

    Jason Smith signed by Ottawa

Brendan Morrison Signed by the Ducks

And Pavel Demitra says that Vancouver is his number 1 choice of teams to sign with

A #1 starter...LMFAO. What are you smoking? We need a goalie that can play up to at least 20 games to keep Broduer well rested for the playoffs. If Weekes were good, they would've played him at least 10 games last season. He played 5 and was 2-2-1. Not too bad, but his career records is 98-158-3. Even Johan Hedberg, a career backup, has a winning record @ 89-86-5.
