    Possible FIFA League

Well, over last couple weeks, me and Skater have been talking excessively about a FIFA league, and how cool it will be. We have both lived in countries in which Soccer is one of the few major sports, for him England, and for me England and Australia, and we both keep up on current news and standings. So as you can probably tell, we are very talented in soccer knowledge and know quite a bit about it. If this idea does shoot off, we would of course hope for co-commisioners. Well the game comes out October 12th, and we wanted to try and get some interest in the league first, see how people would like it, before we shoot the idea to the LeagueGaming Admin Council's way.

As for how it would be run, due to the fact many countries would be demanded many times, such as England and Spain etc...we were talking about choosing just your favorite team throuhout the world such as LA Galaxy, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Barcelona etc.

Also, let me say that this whole thread is going by the factual hope that there is no charge for the online play, so please decide if there wasn't to be a fee, would you play?

This league could be really good. We could have teams like Barcelona, Lazio, and Man Utd all in the same league...Not sure if any of you understand that but to me its really cool

plus the stats for this league would be rather simple...goals, assists, fouls, tackles...saves/shots...and whatnot

Exactly, people wouldn't be able to say there are too many stats and all, as there probably won't be a whole lot to take down, but the only ones that I can think off that Skater and I talked about that he didn't mention would probably have to be goals off of penalty kicks. Would also be cool in a fact that if somebody got two yellowcards which equals a red card, or the straight red card, then maybe we as a league could make this a setting, as then they are unable to play in their next game.

Also, here is a quote from IGN about the new FIFA game, which assures us that if a league was made, there wouldn't be any trouble what so ever about selecting teams:

The toughts of a Fifa league really excite me. The gameplay on this game is one of the best that I have ever played. Im sure it will be great on live so I am down with a league getting started.

I have always enjoyed soccer simulations and if enough people were interested a solid league could easily be feasible.

Alright, TC sent a few people to E3 and I think there's a chance the game might be 4v4 or may have multiplayer without linked Xbox's, meaning me and socal can take on Skater and Virtual.

I am definitely interested, and will be paying attention to this game closely and it has GREAT implications on the European marketplace.

Yeah big implications outside of the United States where popularity is still growing lol. As I told you on AIM, my brother was up there and played this game and Madden and NCAA, and that was all that he played. Right when you told me that, I asked him if was true and he said nope, it was 1 on 1. Now I won't guarantee that this option is not going to be there, but I would imagine they would just get simple stuff down and then go advanced next year. As I said, not likely, but certainly not impossible.

damn skippy...SOLD i'm in.. i've been currently playing euro 2004.

so basically we'd be having a champions league of sorts with all the good teams being taken.

would we play with club teams or would we play with countries?

    also possible thoughts.

if enough people join we could have a couple leagues -- respective to the countries and have their respective cups and then have the uefa cup and a champions cup.

that might be a lot of work so basically we could have a long season of champions league play.

problem though, would the person with the most points at the end of the season be deemed winner or would we figure out a playoff and have a home and away legs for each round except the final.

    could be very interesting..

oh ya.. i know my football...weeeeeeee

We were hoping for club teams, and then get a champions league kind of thing. Points or the Playoff system hasn't been determined yet, but right now probably playoff.

We already know that FIFA will be going LIVE, but the question know is whether or not there will be a fee. This whole threa though is going by the hopeful fact that there is NO FEE!

Of course you have to use clubs for this league. Its half the fun....and about the multipul leagues...It could be a good idea but only if we get that much support otherwise we would just make a league with clubs from different countries
