    For anyone that hasn't entered their team's roster at the LG scoreboard yet:

    1. Goto the "MY FIFA 2005" menu, and click on Squad management.
    2. Sort by position (it's easier that way).
    3. To get a player's full name, you have to click X to get each player's bio.
    4. Our rosters have the following options: G/D/M/F/S (goalie, def, mid, forward, striker).
    5. Some of the game's positions are: GK, CB, RB, LB, RM, CM, CDM, CAM, LM, ST, etc

    Enter each position as the following (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I don't watch and have never played soccer/"futbol" so these are my assumptions):

    G= GK
    D= CB, RB, LB
    M= RM, CM, CDM, CAM, LM
    F= RF, LF, CF
    S= ST (striker)

    I didn't enter anyone as a F (forward) on my roster (didn't have any), your's maybe different. Basically, anything ending in M, enter as a M. Anything ending in a B, is a D. Anything ending in a F (if you have them) is a F, and ST is a S (striker).

    Also, based on my limited soccer knowledge:

    C= Central

    M= Midfielder

    A = Attacking

    D = Defensive

    R = Right

    L = Left

    W = Wing

    B = Back (or defense)

    Combine the letters and you get:

    CAM - Central attacking midfielder
    CDM - Central defensive midfielder
    CB - central back
    LB/RB - Left Back/Right Back
    LWB - Left Wing Back

    You get the idea....

    XBJ, I could've used this the other day :laugh: .

    However, to make this easier, if you go into "My FIFA 2005" and then just go to "Squad" (not Squad management), pick your team, and you will then have the players listed as D, GK, F, etc.

    Just so you know because I was trying to do the "conversions" as well :laugh: . This way isn't as straightforward though, but it was easier for me.

    Yeah, I saw that too, but I didn't see anything that showed their first name in the "Squad" section.

    Yeh, for me it was quite easy...I follow Middlesbrough, so I didn't have to hit X to see what there first name was, I just typed it all in :p. Good informal post though.

    :oops: Unfortunately, I had already written them down the way you suggested so I had them already when I went to find their "generic" positions ;)

    But good point. I didn't think about that. Well, have my team doesn't have two names anyway so it didn't matter much :laugh: . I got a lot of one-named players.
