screen passes arent my real offense i just use that crap when people are blitzing and sacking my QB non-stop
i never ran a single blitz that entire game fyi. 4 man rush except for that one time you were on my 3 yardline.
well sorry for my lack of football knowledge but my thinking of a blitz is when all ur damn players are chasing my qb around within a second of the play being started...just thought id tell you that so u can see what im talking about....
raptor is right. And there were only 4 guys chasing your qb on the passing plays, they were just up in his face right away that's all.
the colts kind of remind me of the Texas Rangers....it appears to me that they spent most of their money on harrison manning and james and decided to put crap out for the rest of the positions...likewise the rangers spent 210 mil on a-rod but yet they didnt get a good pitching staff...
No one cares about the receiving title. It's all about the rushing man. Harrison will probably have the most receiving yards though, only because you can't run the ball and will be behind alot and forced to pass. I think P.Holmes will win the title in the real NFL, and R. Williams will win the rushing title in our league. For total yardage from scrimmage (rushing + receiving), Faulk will be the far and away leader there for sure.
my old Ravens had a guy name Ricard who would run for 200-300 yards a game! Jets, unfortunately, do not.
No one cares if your HB wins the rushing title if he's not playing in the playoffs. If I really wanted to, I could probably rush for 200-300yds per game with Faulk, and win alot of those games and maybe go 10-6. Instead, I'm just going to counter whatever the defense is thrown at me in order to win the games and attempt to go 16-0. If that means throwing 300yds with Warner, then fine. If it means 300yds with Faulk, that's fine too, but I'm sure not going to dictate my playcalling based on the rushing or passing titles. Also, this brings to our attention good sportsmanship. If you're winning 40-3 in the 4th quarter, there's no reason you should be going for it on 4th down or passing on alot of plays. Don't go for the 2pt conversion when you don't really need it. Use a little mercy and show some tact, you'll make more friends that way and we'll want you around for next season. Part of the reason why I had so many huge rushing games on the exhibition scoreboard was that I got up by so many points that I didn't want to pass the ball anymore and rub it in my opponent's face. I'd typically run on every down (mixing it up left, middle, right, FB, HB, etc) and only pass if it got to be 3rd and long. Of course, sometimes that didn't matter and everything was effective, but I wasn't going to kneel on it until after the 2min warning. While we can't have an actual "rule" about this, just be sure that running up the score or your stats will not go unnoticed, and being a poor sport might get you blackballed. When someone gets you when your team is having a bad day, you'll get yours. Just use the golden rule, if you are winning big, play your opponent like you would want to be played if you were in a similar situation. As for the team getting blown out this season, have some pride and try to make the score respectable. Similar to our NHL league, where you shouldn't pull your goalie (unless you're down by 1 or 2 goals LATE in the 3rd).... what that means for the NFL leagues is NOT going for it on 4th down in your own territory, and punting when necessary. If you're down by 3-4 scores late in the 4th and all hope is lost, rather than throw 3 straight passes that will likely get knocked down or picked, maybe start practicing on some different plays and run the ball to eat the clock a bit (if you have no chance at coming back) and if you don't get that 1st down, punt away and don't give your opponent easy field position.
yeah jon you may go 16-0 but that is just beacause we dont play. And I agree I see nothing to gain from running up the score when you know you have already run. Alls this does is piss people off.
