PSN S17 Timelines Offseason and Regular Season

Off-season Week 0 – Wednesday, May 26 thru Saturday, May 29

• Current NHL Owners are given the opportunity to state their interest in returning for the coming season. The deadline is set for Sunday, May 26th at 20:00:00 ET.
• Staff will review the new Ownership applications and conduct interviews during the LGHL Playoffs and finalize them by Wednesday, May 28th.
• The Retirement window is open for all players and Seasonal ID flips to (by Sun Jun 6th).
  • Free-agent players who retire are eligible to un-retire ANYTIME during the season as long as the sign-up window is open.
  • Players who are under contract for this season and retire can ONLY UNRETIRE prior to the retirement deadline of 16:59:59 ET on Sunday, June 6th. After the deadline, those players will not be eligible to return to the league until the following season.

• On Wed May 26: NHL Owner league offers are submitted and owners are given tools. Owners can begin their mgmt selection and player contract opt-outs (roster drops).
  • Players NEED to be approved by Staff prior to being sent an offer to manage.

  • Players NEED to be signed up for the season in order to accept a management offer in our system.
  • The entire organization is allowed up to FIVE roster-contract drops. Please post in the respective threads below.
    • Players can roster-contract drop any player that is on the team roster on the NHL or AHL.
    • Players can also be roster-contract dropped if they are a Draft Pick (request must be done by the NHL Owner).
    • Players who have also retired may also be roster-contract dropped if needed.

  • The Constitutional Review Period begins.

• On Thurs May 27: The Resign Period begins at 00:00:00 ET (129-hour window)
  • Teams can only resign TWO players on their roster (each league).
  • Players that were won in NHL bidding cannot be resigned in the AHL.
  • Randomly assigned players cannot be resigned.
  • Teams cannot trade for someone and then resign them.

Off-season Week 1 – Sunday, May 30 thru Saturday, Jun 05

• On Mon May 31: The Resign Period approval posting ends at 19:59:59 ET
• On Tues Jun 01: The Resign Period ends at 08:59:59 ET
• On Tues Jun 01: @Tris10 dumps S38/16 rosters keeping only players under contract for S39+/S17+ (by 12:00:00 ET)
• On Tues Jun 01: The trade window opens (5-day window) at 17:00:00 ET (or after roster dumps)
• On Wed Jun 02: Roster-Contract Drops close (16:59:59 ET)

Off-season Week 2 – Sunday, Jun 06 thru Saturday, Jun 12

• On Sun Jun 06: The retirement window closes at 16:59:59 ET
• On Sun Jun 06: The trade window closes at 17:59:59 ET
• On Sun Jun 06: NHL Entry Draft at 20:00:00 ET
• On Mon Jun 07: NHL Entry Draft contracts are issued
• On Mon Jun 07: The trade window re-opens (54-hour window)
• On Wed Jun 09: The trade window re-closes at 17:59:59 ET
• On Wed Jun 09: NHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Sat Jun 12 (71-hour window)

Off-season Week 3 – Sunday, Jun 13 thru Saturday, Jun 19

• On Sat Jun 12: AHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Tues Jun 15 (71-hour window)
• On Tues Jun 15: CHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Fri Jun 18 (71-hour window)
• Random Assignments for the AHL and CHL will be issued on Fri Jun 18.
• Trade windows will open for each league once the contracts have been issued and accepted by the players. Until then, the trade window will be closed. The BOGs will determine a proper date for this. Trades involving NHL & AHL must have contracts issued on both ends.
