yeah, i heard you can do some silly stuff in this game. the "tweener" for one, and some other behind-the-back goodness. i see the split kick back-hand there as well. should be great! they were in there in virtua tennis, but were very rare. hope they will be a little more often in this one, or controlled for when you want to do it. and if you try, the chances of pulling it off are slim. that would be good.

I'm a little concerned about the camera view. In the vid for a split second you see a view above the court, i think that would be the gameplay cam. But on SNES (i think) there was a close view third person view tennis game, can't remember the name of it, but it was good until you had to go to the far side of the court. Curious to see which way they take it.

i think you are talking about super tennis, and yeah, the views were weird. but in the theory, since you are playing live, maybe each player will have the close court view, and the oppenent will have the close veiw as well. you will just see the opponent on the far court at all times, while in theory, the opponent on HIS screen, will see his oppenent on the far screen. so everyone has the close court (best) view at all times.

does that make any sense? :?

or they will just have the common overhead veiw, and have people switch sides every other game like real tennis (al la virtua tennis).

Looks good. Can't wait to see some actual in-game video and/or screenshots. The replays look nice and all, but after you watch them once you'll probably skip right past that stuff (much like the MotoGP2 replay videos, crash cam, etc after the cool factor wears off).

I think the biggest thing that could make this game suck would be the camera movement, that to me is the biggest fear left that could ruin the game for me.

Also i'm curious of how the spin control will work. Will we be able to hit a strong topspin volley? I'm not sure if i've played a tennis game that has allowed that shot that Agassi (i think it was him) made so popular.

well if the quality from mm3 is any indication, then it will just be fun, and play awesome.

ive seen tons of pics for this game, and they look great. But I wanna see some videos so I can see how the game will move. Xbox.com won't let me view their trailer, and on ign.com you have to be a paid member.

I just saw the video from ign.com, looks amazing!!! Very fast paced and smooth camera motions. I love the fact there's a button to throw your racket after you miss a point!

I was worried about the view, but I saw later in the vid that you can change it to a more over head type view. Thank God for that.

And I love how the serve looks like it really gets hammered when you hit it maxed out. What I never liked about Vitua Tennis was the fact that you never could ace someone. They always returned it. Maybe this time, you can get more aces if you build up your service.
