Media Season 8 Bill Masterton Nomination Thread

The Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the National Hockey League player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey.

In LG, this award is ideally meant for someone that has either been on the site a long time, and is generally a good influence/has a good impact in the community, or someone that had to deal with a shitshow all season and didn't complain/quit, or even embraced it and tried to improve the situation around them.

2 examples of something like this would be @L33t-Ricx0r having to play the entire season with a Penguins team that was absolutely awful, and went through a change in the full management team mid-season. Despite this, he played a full 27 game schedule with them, and I didn't hear a single bad thing from him about his team.

Similarly, @EPICxSKILLZY had to deal with pretty much the same thing, but also stepped up to own the team when @SKILLEDPYTHON couldn't take the heat anymore, and kept the team together for the rest of the season. On top of that, despite having multiple people quit, and being unable to maintain a full roster, Pittsburgh didn't forfeit a single game down the stretch.

This thread is meant for you guys to nominate people that you feel deserve the award, it went unawarded last season because our first choice for the award ended up getting banned, and we didn't feel there were any true standouts after that. Snake16doctor is such a great human. The guy kept cheering for us and stayed in the discord with us and fully understood why we went foward with mooner! Totally respect the man! Really nice guy

@EPICxSKILLZY took over the awful pens and did his best to gather a line/ecus for each game . This ofc would be very difficult with player mentalities being on a bottom team. He took over the team for the league and did a very good job of keeping it running. Give this man the award

@Moranaconda Went through this summer season of people not showing up for games or bad availability, and managed to not forfeit a single game all season. One of the nicest guys on LG and dedicated a lot of his time to the league even when things weren’t looking great for the coyotes, he still put his all into putting a full team of 6 together and tried to make this season enjoyable for his roster. Can’t think of anyone more deserving of an award.
