if by great game you mean distinctly average sure, it was. i enjoy it when good franchises decide to implode upon themselves. By releasing rushed games with little to do with the whole other franchise.
lol I guess you're right ... 8.5 was a decent enough rating from gamespot. I mean the game did go a completely different dirrection from the previous titles as you mentioned. It was definitely an improvement, but it did have the feeling of say, a call of duty game (which comes out with the next title within months).
