Whats the learning curve on this game How fun is it? thinking of getting it but Im in two leagues already and if its really hard to get the hang of I might not want to.
is not that hard to beat up on the computer but the game definatly gets alot harder when you step into the online zone.
its easy to beat the AI coz most of them are very predictable. except when you go to the Gran Slam. (when i did that for 2 times, i was eliminated right on the 1st game vs Sampras and Hewitt) but the online people are very much difficult to beat. you really need to have that 4th skill and your 14 stars complete.
It doesn't take much time to be proficient, however it does take a lot of time to be a GREAT player. Some of us won't ever be GREAT no matter how much we play. I would say I am good, and I have played a lot of matches and I can still get beat by a lot of people out there.
If you're having trouble with the Grand Slams avoid the power serves and do either the slice or top spin serve to the CPU's right. Throws 'em off balance for an easy slam to the left. Works like a charm for me.
Or just serve and volley and run for a cross court shot, I have very rarely seen the computer AI switch its tactics and hit up the line (Blake/Hewitt seemed to mix it up a bit, but not enough to stop you from winning).
I Luv Top Spin it's a good game its actually fun to play not like most tennis games, I havent played online at all but Ive played against the computer and I like how when u create a player u have a sponsor and need to upgrade urself.
