ESPN if I can get a complete game in! I've had 5 of 6 games drop.... I'm going to try a modem/router reset tonight... and see if that helps. I had a killer game going this afternoon with a cubs guy... and I'm the cards.... He's up 3-0 off of a poorly timed dive by my left fielder which was a base hit anyways.... ugghhh... come up to the top of the 7th.... I hit a solo shot off of his struggling starter... he brings in the warmed up relief and I crack two base hits off him right away.... Top of 7, 3-1, 0-outs, men on 1st and 2nd.... Drop. We both could still talk, but the screen said that you have lost connection with your opponent or something like that. Uggghhh. Great come back possiblity!
Even though the votes are 18-0, has a lot of people played ASB? I haven't yet, but I have some friends who say it is great....
I've played both games, it's not even close. The fielding camera in ASB completely ruins the game. ESPN is a solid game, the graphics and animation leave alot to be desired, but the core gameplay is very solid and should make an excellent game for our league. If only they had the graphics/animations of MVP, you'd have the ultimate baseball game then.
If it wasnt for the fielder cam.. I would probably vote ASB.. even though I bought ESPN.... But Sheez... I feel clostophobic (claustrophobic-spelling..lol) With ASB's cam The game just gives to close a view all the time and never really get a feel for the stadium.... One thing I like about the fielder cam... That I wish all games would go to... is that the camara is on the fielder not the ball.. and when a ball is hit in the gap on other games.. You really dont know where your fielder is... you savy....
i hate the fielder cam altogether and the option of not having a different selection online really messed it up. SOme other little things that ASB does that jsut shouldnt happen and make it seem too difficult to execute easy plays. Just played a Braves vs Mets game offline(allstar) but i keep messing up fielding because i forget that i can use turbo. Pitching is not as good as all the other baseball games out in the market but i've dealt with it since the DC days.
