How do the net battles compare to how they worked back on 360? How is it initiated? Can forwards disengage by skating away from their defender or are they still velcro'd?
I assume in regards to player builds?? Net battles was about 75% done when we tried it. They were initiated with two buttons. Y is more of a body tie up/ clear the front of the net. Where A was more of a stick lift and hold / stick tie up. To get away from them was easy. Basically if you were being pushed from the left to right as a forward if you skate right you were free. It wasn't as sticky as what we saw on the 360 but like I said I only played the 75% completed version.
Any chance of adding in more minor league teams to franchise mode? like the ECHL? EDIT: Just saw twitter!!! dancing around my house. Let's go Fuel!
They haven't talked about add anything more. It basically comes down to dollars and cents. The ECHL is obviously a new set of teams but at this point there hasn't then anything told to us about more teams. That being said anything is possible when it comes to that aspect of the game

Yes, can we change our Height and Weight which would impact a few attributes? or will it be a fixed set again?
Can we actually customize our EASHL players attributes, height n weight? Or is it gonna be like NHL 16 everything is preset so EASHL dies after a month or two when everyone gets bored of the same 4 competitive builds
Builds were preset when I was down in Vancouver a few weeks ago. Customization is limited to appearance, gear, custom cellies etc
Damn, I wonder if they'll change it, or at least add different variations of builds. I like the everyone is even concept but it really held NHL 16 back
Probably a discussion for later days. It's way to early to shoot down the presets for NHL 17. IMO presets plus broken game play created a non fun environment. With the improvements to how the game plays I think we could see it be a better experience. Of course everyone misses being able to make a build that could basically do everything and anything at anytime. There was no real difference from player to player. The presets take you in a new direction where you have to make a choice and pick something that suits your style. I like custom builds and I like presets. Change can be difficult at times aha
http://www.ea.com/uk/nhl-2005 Not completely the same I guess but jesus they love to tinker with an old feature and claim it to be brand new.
I'm under the impression the badge system that was implimented for players is being implimented for teams. Is this how players will get boosts? It was mentioned player upgrades will be available. Is this individually earned or on the basis of how good the team is? Are there separate boosts for team and player?
Tons of ways things can be unlocked both for individuals and for teams. It wasn't 100% completed yet when we were down a few weeks ago, so by all means if anyone wants to make suggestions now is a good time.
How did the gameplay feel? A big issue with 16 was it was an upgraded copy and paste of a broken NHL 15 game where the skating wasn't smooth and all the problems with NHL 15's gameplay was in NHL 16. Did it feel like they really stepped it up? Or is it another upgraded copy n paste from NHL 15 and 16?
if they want to say they want a even playing ground give every one the same amount of upgrade points and that let ppl unlock boosts
