This weekend marks the middle of the season and time for you(the players) to give some insight into what changes you would like to see for the League or the Site. There has been a ton of recent "hot topics" some which affects the players and some which don't. Therefore I want to see what your thoughts on these issues, as well as add your own ideas: NHL The ban issues(Poll;http://leaguegaming.com/forums/inde...x-league-be-removed-from-the-lghl-psn.252710/) stem from NHL issues. Sending down players after NHL bidding for the AHL? RFA Compensation(it is currently extremely high) Recommendation to add more rounds to the draft Trade Compensations issues(always headaches) AHL Should NHL Talent(players/managers) be eligible for AHL Management roles? Eligible players for call ups, and ECUs? Recommendations, 60 AHL games = Veteran Status, 60 CHL Games = Amateur AHL RFA(AHL GM bid on AHL players) CHL Players signed up as G, but playing forward all season... Positional Lock ideas, OR roster limits(9 forwards-6D-2G) Site Ideas / Changes New chat system, (RIP-groupme/skype) Pro Series? The Return? New Site Home Page?
May not be a popular opinion, but what about getting rid of the Thursday games? Always seems like limited availability, and ECU shitshows on Thursday nights. Let the managers have a night off, roll 3 games on Tuesday or Wednesday. I understand certain peoples availability and blah blah, but it just seems like it's time to eliminate that 1 game night from the schedule. Use it for makeups or reschedules, but I don't think we need it anymore in the regular or maybe even post season. Feel free to provide counter-arguments, I'm just spitting out ideas.
To be honest the psn guys asked for that to lol The competitor PSN league doesn't play Tuesday so the idea was to move it there I like it and hate it. But guys like me who work shift work sometimes rely on that game to get their avail in
For the CHL goalie issue here is a hybrid solution: · No position lock until playoffs · Teams can have +1extra player per position to maintain a "valid" roster. So you could have 10 F, 7 D, 3 Gs max. Obviously still a 17 player max roster still. And in regards to the Thursday games I do agree there needs to be a discussion about the start time. It is interesting how poor 9pm weekday avail can be. Maybe a 10pm Thursday option is viable? I think a good way to determine how the current scheduling is working is to have the league go to owners individually and tally up their players avails for the current week format. You'd be able to see where players have more availability and less. Maybe see how people with Thursday avails spread out amongst the other games. Do Thursday 9pm players often have better or worse avail overall? Having this data would be extremely useful to determining the effects of a schedule change.
Lower RFA compensation, it is far too high and drives RFA prices below what the players are usually worth. Getting rid of the Thursday game is an interesting. You could just move it to 9 on Wednesday. For the CHL I would just lock goalies into playing goalie so good skaters can't hide behind signing up as a G. No position lock for F/D.
I like this as well. I feel like that Thursday games (especially during summer time,) really becomes a tough job for management to get games in. Only negative I could see is for guys like myself who are available for all games except for 11pms. Gives those who cant play at 11 more flexibility for management.
32 ECUs used tonight in the Thursday games (BUF/VAN not in yet). 32 ECUs in the 14 games reported. That's more than 2 per game. RIP Thursdays @LG McDonald
i would say for the games on Thursday, either add another game to Thursday or move it to another night. The only reason people blow it off is cause it is the only day with one game. I will leave playoffs to you how to run it, but the regular season that is a week of games we are missing out on by just having 1 game on thursday.
Not sure what you mean. It's a nine week, nine games per week schedule to give us the complete NHL 82 game season. Nine is the perfect number for us having three lines and only giving each player three games a week.
In the chl a simple roster limit of 9f 6d and 2g would be fine. No position lock still. You can't be a foward and sneak by as a goalie in that solution.
Just saying people blow off Thursday games cause there is only one game on that day, so moving it to another day of the week might see less people missing.
I believe I suggested no Thursdays last season and you said it wasn't good for site traffic if I recall. We could throw another FNP style tourney on Thursday?
Or I could leave the AHL and CHL play Thursday and move the NHL to the shortened week as a trail. The psn guys like it to since the competitor PSN league doesn't play Tuesday they wanted to see 9-10-11 Tuesday becomes a staple here Also adding third game tona day in the ahl and chl is difficult. 8:30 becomes to early for the ahl. 11:30 is kinda late for the ahl and 10:30 might be too late for the chl. I'm not against trying something out. Perhaps it provides better available for the summer season which is coming up to. It's kind of along the lines of new playoff rule proposal I've always wanted to try and move the game times around to have a 45 minute gap as well. We need a bette range to support to tho. I always liked; 10-10:45 NHL 9-9:45 AHL 8-8:45 CHL Better for streams and better for ECUs
Yea but this is the point of having ecu's. Some ecu's are good, just availability issues. It is the owners responsibility to remove the players that are not active. If you were an ecu.. this is the only chance you get to play. Also part of running a team, agree?
I think point he was trying to make was that by moving Thursday at 9 to Tuesday at 9 the players available for the game would increase, decreasing the amount of ECUs required.
