So just to clarify because my reading comprehension is terrible:

If a veteran status player is not signed up before AHL bidding begins he or she will automatically become a CHL TC at their highest previous salary but will not have RA status (despite being randomly assigned) thus making them call up eligible?

If that's the case, couple more questions that are probably very obvious but I need confirmation as they effect my season plans greatly.

1. For the highest previous salary, if my future S12 PSN NHL salary is my new highest salary is that the salary that I would be given as a veteran CHL TC? Assuming yes.

2. When do the Veteran CHL TC assignments occur? Immediately when you sign up after AHL bidding has begun? Or is it done in a big wave once CHL is completed?

Re-read it a few times and I think I misunderstood. Veterans not being in CHL bidding is just to encourage them to sign up for NHL/AHL bidding? So signing up after AHL bidding begins would still result in being a RA V? If so, when do those random assignments occur? Right when you sign up after AHL bidding starts or in a wave post-CHL bidding?

So to clarify, Vegas and Palm Springs each get two resigns that can be used on any unsigned player or take up to two contracted players who weren't protected by their teams? I assume this happens before resigns, because that would be one more player to protect?

 

Since Seattle won't have an official name heading into S12 and Palm Springs their ahl affiliate being the Firebirds I see the best scenario is using Maine Mariners as the Seattle Mariners & Flint Firebirds as the Palm Springs Firebirds. Just a thought.
