Voted for the 2nd, since people were concerned about getting ECUs for 11pm games, theoretically that would be easier early in the week when you have more flexibility since people aren't maxed out on games.

 

4. LG original

 

A hybrid of some sort is all that is needed, a couple 11's a week.

 

Unfortunately we are trying to bring the two systems together so it won't be either leagues original schedule

 

2 games on Sunday makes me wet.

 

Never played in VHL but I like the times there, Voted for VHL Original

i think a hybrid schedule would be really nice i voted for the first one.Alot of guys play in LG cause of 11 pm games and i think it would help to keep a couple of them in to make it alittle more balanced and easy.

 

This is a tough choice...points:

1. I prefer earlier games (9 & 10), get them out of the way so there is time for club.

2. Early games = less availability as a whole during the first two season of a cycle because that's during real hockey season & people don't sign up to play when they are watching their team. So this would = later games helping.

3. Mixed schedule = a mess (I'm sure people will get use to it), people not remembering what time games are on which night, causing problems. If you add that to alternating league levels in play times it gets even more messy.

I'll take door whats behind door #1, seems to maximize when people should be able to be available.
1. Early games on Sunday works well for everyone, assuming most people don't work on weekends, even the West coast people can make them. East coast people can still play and be done early enough to start their work week.

2. Good balance of game times for everyone = 3-9pm games & 4-10pm for the east / 4-10pm & 2-11pm for the west

3. Makes it easy to flip to option #2 for the AHL and give the same balance (change Thur. for AHL) & then back again for CHL

 

Unfortunately, option 3 is VHL original. there is no other league that is even remotely competitive to this one now though so we could just take the best times. whatever that may be.

 

yeah i agree brodie i also think as ozzy said it would make it easier on the west guys to have a couple 11pm games but i do like the idea for a schedule change and not just have either LG schedule/VHL schedule and combine the two.Its a great idea for you guys to come up with it.

 

It technically isn't and shouldn't have been named that. There is a tweak to it.

Either way I'm personally in favor of option 1 as I feel it makes the most sense.

 

I think consistency in the times would be the least confusing. Make them all 9pm/10pm or 10pm/11pm.

Maybe make it 9pm/10pm for the regular season, and 10pm/11pm for the playoffs?

I think these guys are going to really think about what works best to all. In order to be the biggest you have to cater to as many people as possible if it something that can be done. No one is going to play 9 games a week so everyone can afford to not have 2 or 3 games in their comfortable available times.

unfortunately my schedule every other week I'm off only Wednesday Thursday. I lose a game a week due to no late Thursday. so from 4 to 3. Not very beneficial for myself being a goaltender

 

Instead of trying to "combine" both leagues, why don't we just pick the best times? LG had these weird times because VHL dominated the prime times, just do the VHL times.
