In the NHL,

• Veteran and Amateur players are only eligible for full time call up.

NOT eligible for full time call up to the NHL

• Prospects(P)
• Randomly Assigned Veterans (V RA)
• Randomly Assigned Amateurs (A RA)
• Randomly Assigned Prospects(P RA)

• Unlimited Amateurs (A RA)

NOT eligible for full time call up to the AHL

The prospect restriction in the AHL will be ignored this season, BUT respected in the NHL.

Section 5.2
Punishment for non-compliance: In situations where the invalid roster had an influence on a games outcome(win), the game will be overturned to a 1-0 forfeit loss. All stats will be removed from the game.

If the invalid roster had no influence on a game's outcome, game results will not be effected, but the team's manager will receive a one game suspension exception the playoff then a second degree violation applies.

I just have a quick question if one of the BOG can clear this up. Are Prospects status changed from "P" after playing 10 games to "A's - Amatuer" from that point are they eligible for full time NHL call up but still proceed to the draft after season 2 is done ?

 

Yes, good question Polska. I have now reached 10 games in the AHL. I am a pospect. Does that change now from prospect to amateur?

RA Prospect restrictions have been relaxed for Season 2, AHL only.

 

It doesn't change until the offseason

 

Player status; such as Prospect Amatuer veteran; do not change mid-season; I.E. if a prospect hits the required games to become a amatuer they will not get the A status until next season. Least thats how it goes on xbox I imagine it to be the same over here. Because then you would never be able to have the prospect draft for the nhl every season.

 

See MBP post. Prospects are eligible for FULL time call up this season ONLY as next season there will be more than a large enough player pool so that would not be needed. It is true for the NHL but not the AHL this season and this season ONLY.

 

Ok so I'm tracking that prospects and all player status does not change until end of season/beginning of season 3.

With that being said, I would like a definitive yes or no on the following: for this season(2) are RA(P) allowed to be on the fulltime roster for LGAHL? I was recently pulled back to TC and it sounds like I'm not the only one this is happening to. If the league is not enforcing this until season(3) that would be amazing. Any clarification will help, thank you in advance.

my post is not wrong; i did not say anything about prospects being called up; i'm talking about status change, if you are a prospect you will not become an Amatuer mid-season once you hit the required games.

 

No no no no brother not your post... You are 100% correct the player's status WILL NOT change until after the draft heading into season 3 yes that is correct. I was saying that Prospects can be called up full time to the AHL.. My bad if I made it look like I was talking about yours man..
