A potential fix for bidding

I think it would be better to just have the clock be much shorter when you get bidded on. Make it like 2-4 hours instead of 10. Just have to have a pause in bidding in the am hours. I am assuming that’s the only reason the clock is 10 hours is because of the 1a-7a gap the first day of bidding. Just maybe put a pause on all the bidding clocks at like 2-3am until noon or so the next day. Having shorter clocks on players I feel would also make contracts lower of the guys who go into day 2-3 in bidding

 

Not a bad idea, it's simple and salaries would work with the round where you are picked...
1st pick could start at 10M and last pick could end at 500K and every pick could be a slight % decrease in salary (based on the number of players in the league) or salary brackets could be made...

 

Creative idea. I can’t help but think the way bidding goes is a result of poor management though.
if we see more bids from a variety of teams across the board I feel like the problem gets solved. Guys draw up a list and stick to it. More info via media would probably help too and balance out the amount of cheap steals we see

 

No system will be idiot proof unfortunately, this was just a different idea to try and eliminate some of the 500k steals which then lead to insanely bloated day 2 contracts.
