There are so many cases of these and it seems to be becoming more frequent. If we are not impeding on their space we are destroying their habitat and using them for our amusement. Damn we are idiots!

Three experienced handlers were working with the bear at Randy Miller's Predators in Action facility in California today when the bear bit the 39-year-old man on the neck, said San Bernardi County sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Beavers.
The centre's staff used capsicum spray to subdue and contain the bear and there were no other injuries, she said.
Emergency teams responded to the incident, but could not revive the man.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
Sheriff's Sgt. Dave Phelps said the bear was a five-year-old male named Rocky.
The Predators in Action web site said Rocky appeared in a scene In Semi-Pro's wrestling match, stuntman and owner of Predators in Action Randy Miller stood in for Ferrell to take on Rocky, the centre's website says.
Miller is being sought for comment.
The centre, located in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles, has two grizzlies, and also trains lions, tigers, leopards, cougars and wolves for public and film appearances.

2) NEW DELHI, India - An elephant rampaged through a Hindu temple in southern India yesterday, killing three people, including one of its handlers, police said.
Television footage showed the adult male elephant charging through the temple compound. It knocked down a thatched awning, tried to batter its way through a steel gate and finally trampled a man, kicking the limp body several yards through the air.
The elephant went berserk after undertaking the religious “ezhunnellathu” procession at around noon at a regional festival in the southern Thrissur district, killing a man and a woman and then a handler who was trying to bring it under control, police officer Jay Prakash said.
It was not clear what sparked the rampage, he said, but the beast was later brought under control.
Some people present at the temple said they saw a man plucking at the bristles on the jumbo’s tail, the Web site of The Hindu news service reported.
Elephants are routinely used in southern Indian temple ceremonies, often covered in elaborate decorations and paint. However, animal rights activists say the elephants are often kept in inhumane conditions, and the incident occurred in the wake of a decision by the Kerala high court to restrict their use between the scorching summer hours of 11 am to 2 pm., Howra News Service reported.

3) Magician Roy Horn remains in hospital on a ventilator in critical condition after a tiger mauled him during a show.
Horn, half of the duo Siegfried and Roy, was attacked by a seven-year-old male white tiger during a show at the Mirage Hotel on Friday night.
The CEO of the MGM Mirage Resort says Horn, 59, underwent surgery and is heavily medicated. He can respond to voice and touch, said Bobby Baldwin.
Horn and Siegfried Fisbacher recently signed a lifetime contract with the hotel. The show has been cancelled indefinitely, throwing its more than 250 employees out of work.
The tiger is in quarantine.

I do feel bad for these people but at the same time I have to shake my head. People need to wake up and show a little respect to these species!

I'm no animal rights activist, but I do think that what they're doing is wrong. You can never full tame an animal. Whether it be a lion or a dog, they've all still got their primal animal instincts
