I am looking forward to it. However I am hesitant given Call of Duty 3 - which was a good game on its own merits but the friendly AI is what made me sell the damn thing. When I am firing, you dont jump in front of my crosshairs and make me fail the mission. But, Inifinity Ward is making CoD 4, they made CoD 2 which I loved.
This game looks amazing! Infinity wards knows what they are doing. WW2 styles are getting kinda old already.
I dont know about you folks, but the ability to shoot through walls like in CoD4 MP is sort of a turnoff for me to even play it online. Basically it only gives more of a reason for a person to camp in a building then just shoot randomly at the wall to kill a person walking in. I know the game requires some sort of tactics for you to take down the enemy, but I dont see me having fun with this. View video HD version
Wow, that looks like a big turnoff to me. Granted some rounds could actually go through a wall quite easily (7.62). Who knows, if the have 9mm rounds easily going through walls than I would be more concerned. I'm sure some 5.56 rounds could also go through walls.
I was turned off after watching that as well , but then again not every shot is going through... 7.62 & .50 Calibre will penetrate walls , just as long as it's not overused or abused then it just adds realism... I guess
Granted, I thought I would get into CoD3 multiplayer since it was more Battlefield like. And while it definitely was fun to play, I never really played it much. I am just not much of a MP guy anymore. KillZone is the only shooter I want MP for really, because I loved KZ on PS2 online.
Thsi game has received over 40 awards from E3 and other publications. This is going to be THE game!!!
Guys, just as an update, you may want to go over to charlieoscardelta.com and register. They are going to release a public beta sometime this month and its a first-come, first-served kinda thing. Just thought it would be a good idea so we can keep tabs on when the beta will be out. Running smooth at 60 fps, wow. IGN has a multiplayer beta preview.
I remember I tried to get a CoD 3 league going way back when but no one seemed into the idea. Maybe the more mordern game play will spark peoples interest.
I got an e-mail today and I'm downloading the beta as we speak. I got in early on a "trusted friends and family" thing. For those unaware, they are giving away beta invites tomorrow on the website starting at 3 ET. Limited number so hurry.
