GM - I have been reading a lot more posts and some of the recent reviews. It really seems like the key for this being good would be to have 4-6 guys you know you will be teaming with a lot to play it. That is my worry that I will get it and then only have a couple friends who do and never have a functional team. Remember trying to join a splinter cell for coop with someone you didn't know. It was the worst and I bet this game would be like that trying to do teams with random people.
They are gathering a group in the GRAW clan I'm in so if your 2k5 football group doesn't have enough guys, I can get you in that if you want.
I'll talk to you more about it tonight. That sounds more interesting if you have a for sure group of people to game with for it.
I played this for a few hours so far, but haven't gone online yet. I'm gonna get through the offline mode in order to collect most of the parts to allow for better customization. Only played through 4-5 missions. Gameplay is not like mechassault, the bots move relatively slow so far. Character models are impressive, customization is amazing, but will get better once more parts are obtained. Now i'm rather limited and can't even use a custom bot due to lack of parts and ammo. So far it's exactly what I expected, and am enjoying it. Gonna get more into it tonight and through the weekend. The list of achievements will hopefully ensure that people will be playing this for a while. Also there's been hints at content to be released in the arcade. This could just be parts, but hopefully maps and more will be available as well. Once I go online, I have one guy that is going to be playing with me so far and more are welcome to join. We organize at the site in my sig.
OH MAN, My buddy got it today for me, we built this huge rig with like 10 miniguns and cannons... wow! The bomb launcher is sweet as well, once you figure it out at least.
Ok, I am so in love with this game. I will be looking for or making a clan as soon as the online portion starts working for me, all I seem to be able to do is play the cpu for territory.
They are resetting the servers on July 18th and also there will be a free download already on the 19th. This game is proof that reviewers are idiots. The single player is very thin but the online more then makes up for that. This game is awesome and the online features are revolutionary for a console. I am not sure if they have PC games like this outside of the MMO's. I recommend this game to anyone that has been looking for more then the normal deathmatches but isn't into Final Fantasy.
Hear Hear, the single player will set you up with basics (I'm currently cowering in fear behind a rock as Hounds hunt me down) but the multiplayer is king. AAA+++ Buy This Game!

Swiper, you will not be disappointed. This is the best 360 LIVE game thus far by a large margin. The War will only get deeper and the basic multiplayer is great.
I'm planning to pick this up soon as well. I would have picked it up today after work when I was browsing through EB but they were sold out... I'll likely get it either this weekend or next week.
Well, war 1 took 2 weeks, then was reset when the game shipped here. We are currently fighting war 5, war 4 ending in less than a day. I will disband my clan and make a new one if LG'ers want to join.
i just picked it up yesterday and wow!!!...they really worked hard on this game, so much depth into the online!
i've played the single player mode and it's pretty good. This might be worth a purchase. I can buy it from Gamefly for 44.99 Much better than new price...especially since I had it the day after it came out.
