Well last night and this morning we had a nice little ice storm come through. Now you have to understand that to these texans there is almost nothing scarier than ice falling from the sky, and it pretty much means the entire metroplex shuts down for the day. To those few people brave enough to venture outside of the house and drive somewhere, the obvious answer to getting rid of the ice is to step on the gas and drive as fast as possible, that way your engine gets hotter and it all melts! Right? Anyway, I went out at sunrise this morning to get some shots before it all melted.
This is the hot piece of ass (glass) that should be arriving on Tuesday! I also took some night shots while driving last night, because that ****s really fun, so I'll post up a few later.
So here I am, just sitting here at work with no customers looking at the foot of snow thats falling right now, and I see a little frost on those cars in Texas.....wishing bad things upon those who probably freaked out about it...lol. Nice pics though.
You can't really understand just how big this lens is until you have 5 pounds of camera hanging around your neck. About as big of a lens you can get before you need to use a tripod or monopod just to save your arms from falling off.
2 1/4kg mr canada, and $2000. I had a very sad feeling yesterday as I learned the average life of my cameras shutter is 50,000 images, and I'm already at 25,000 in a year.
