I just remember my best lap was 1:13. I've always sucked at racing games and it blows me away how guys get such great times. I go too fast and I'm sliding all over the track and crashing into walls. I have no idea how you guys do it.

The triggers are "progressive" the harder, or softer you push obviosly the harder or softer the peddle will be. I ease the brake, not just jam it in the corners, and then ease into the gas. This helps with sliding. Also, if you go off the track or hit a wall, etc, you get penalty seconds added onto your lap time.

I try to ease the brakes but I just either overturn and spin out or, I can't accelerate fast enough. I hate those sharp turns the most! I can't wait for the real game to come out so I can customize!

I was aware of this, it's just that I'm not that good at coordinating the gas/break thing and the timing of it all. But thanks for the tips just the same. I only played it about 3 times so there's definitely room for improvement.

Army start out by turning the Full Assist line on instead of just the Brake Zone. Just take your time your first few races and concentrate on staying on the track and race line. To get used to the gas/brake sensitivty, I used to take cars out on a straight away and just play around with accelerating and then braking in a straight line (which is what you want to be doing anyway) If you floor it through a turn you will spin out, the same goes with heavy braking while your turning, it will just cause you to slide and lose control.

 

Finished my download overnight and ran a quick race in the C class (using the BMW M3) this morning before getting ready for work. I managed to win the race, but incurred a small penalty. I tried to explain that rubbin' is racin' but they didn't buy it. I'll post some official lap times tonight, great fun so far!
