* New * Esports Contenders Cup - Aim'd at you, the LGAHL/CHL'er

Hey Everyone,

During this off-season we looked at our esports #s as well as our LGHL #s and tried to answer the question "Why is the LGHL getting 5,500-6,000 players but esports events only getting 1,000".

After talking to members a lot of guys said they enjoy being competitive but at their skill level, Guys at the CHL want to still win but against other players in the CHL level, Same for AHL'ers.

Even though our esports schedule format is a modified swiss where you play evenly skilled opponents, there was a chance they could still play top teams early on and certainly they wouldn't have a deep playoff run.

So the idea we've come up with is to make a "Contenders Cup" Division that would be completely separate from the main esports teams/division, And to give people something to play for in the form of non-monitory prizes (ie prize packs, jerseys, pucks ect from NHL teams).

So guys can signup for esports events with their friends, play evenly skilled teams, win prizes and (LG Awards/Trophies) and improve their skills and experience competitive esports.

The Ducks is the 1st esports event to have a Contenders cup and will come with 6 prize packs from the Ducks. I encourage all AHL/CHL'ers to consider joining this event!

TL : DR

• Contenders cup is aim'd at players who want to play directly at their skill level and still play meaningful games/playoffs
• Teams will only matchup with other teams in the Contenders Division
• Will have its own LG Trophies and prize pack for the winners from the ANA Ducks.
