These games were against Hershey, Bridgeport, Laval, and Iowa where they scored a combined total of 41 of their 83 goals. @Arctic Blur & @Kev_F88 & @Gongshow I61I have only played three 1st lines in their 15 games played AND all of the 1st lines they played were on non-playoff teams. The 3 together are very good, but they are not a 27-0 lineup. If they were to play top lines on top teams they would lose plain and simple. You're not going to be able to get 8:49 minutes of time on attack. You're going to be facing the trap at all times and every single lane will be clogged. This top Manitoba line is not capable of creating plays that can get that MUST NEED goal when the time comes. In past seasons, the number 1 line in any league consistently scores 30-40% of their shots. This top Manitoba line only scores 25% of their shots and they can thank the 4 games they scored a combined 41 goals, because without including them they'd only have a 20 shooting percentage. These guys obviously have a different play style from other top lines, because they're posting a consistent 22 shots per game. They do not cycle the puck and look for the perfect play to score. Instead, they are throwing turds hoping for a juicy rebounds and greasy EA goals. As we’ve seen, it works against shitty lines, but it wont work come playoffs when they have to start playing top lines on top teams. Looking at @rG Breezyy & @Lorenzo x 24 this season, they are not producing as much as last year. They are playing the tough games and not coming out with the wins they need. If Manitoba wants to be the team they were last season, they need to start putting Blur, Kev, and Gongshow in the hard games. Are Arctic Blur, Kev, and Gongshow scrub hunters? YES Is Gongshow carried? HELL YES Support the news team, like, comment & share your thoughts on their work
Expose This Hoe: A Very Salty @Darcy Kuemper Makes a whole article and researches every line and stat LG has to offer in order to try and conclude that an undefeated line is actually bad.
@Darcy Kuemper I heard a rumour that this line actually has great avail but toba plays them vs scrubs because it is 4ths 'recipe for a Calder'
This is formally known as "The Coward's Gambit" and you'll hear it advocated by many. It's an exploit for an inherent flaw in EASHL and LG: due to the nature of the game, there can be no line matching within a single game. The result is the regular season becomes a contest to see who's the best scrub hunter. I'd love to see regular season awards weigh strength of schedule as a co-equal criteria, and even have scoring titles adjusted. The intent is to recognize the most skilled players, but we end up rewarding the people whose management best manipulate the schedule to ensure they play the weakest competition.
Darcy have you even watched us play? We play a game last week down 1 with 1:34 when I scored to tie it then I won us the game in OT, how are you gonna say we can score when we need to. And we also have 9/9 avail and we don’t choose who we play so why go through this much trouble? Especial when kev arctic and I stay to ourselves rather than rub it in people’s faces? And records don’t make players bad, anyone has a chance to win in this game, if you looked at our games you’d see we have a lot of 1-2 goal games, we have a unique dynamic of shooting a lot of shots and getting our D involved
Somebody has to play the lesser teams/lines... Lorenzo and Breezy have ALWAYS taken on the role of playing the top talent, they have no interest in playing shitters.
If you consider Tucson a playoff team, which they were when they matched up against these guys, they actually have played 9/15 against playoff teams. Decent ratio IMO, not their fault those playoff teams management are the ones dodging the biggies against the s29 GOAT line. Manipulating the data for some FAKE NEWS, shit attempt at "exposing" these guys.
