Fifa 08

Played the demo , game is looking very solid ... looks like online will support 5vs5 ... maybe a league would be great ... anyone into soccer ?

 

I played the demo and man it feels like the same game as all past fifa games. Just the fact that you can't run anywhere else then a straight line, you gotta stop and turn to run diagonal really tears me away from getting it.

 

Yeah I doubt you'll find enough support for a strong soccer league. Just with the sheer number of quality sports titles out there and with good shooters, it would be rough.

 

I will be passing on this year's Fifa. From what I've heard the improvements they are making to Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer is going to make that the soccer game I get this year.

 

Yeah ive been playing Winning Eleven every single year but only like 2-3 people on LG get it every year .... so i guess a soccer league wont happen

 

I just got Fifa from GF today, I hope its as good as UEFA was last yr.

 

I'm impressed with fifa this year the ball physics make for a completely different game i will probably be getting it when i get my 360..

 

i picked up a copy of FIFA08 last week and i must say im very impressed with this game so far, its so smooth online and the game itself is very realistic ... its way better than what we got in the demo that was prolly a beta version of the game . If anyone is still interested in a league , let me know

I would play in a league for sure, im gonna get a buddy to sign up to the site too cuz he loves the sports games too and he would play in the fifa league as well.

 

im thinking of a 6 team league to start

-Ball physics: makes the game much more realistic.. when the ball is coming to a player it isnt just glued to him in possession, you can move to or away from the ball before it gets there and there are unlimited possibilities with deflections and interceptions. It reakky makes a huge difference in gameplay. In old fifa games you could only score a few different ways but with the new game I have yet to see the same goal twice.
-Graphics: Slick as usual
-Teams: Sooo many teams, even teams I would never use lol but those last two are normal for fifa.

Dislikes: You do not have the ability to really put the pass into open space where you want it to go. (If you can please tell me how)
Also I find it impossible to score on free kicks should be a genuine scoring chance. (If you can please tell me how)

 

I agree with everything you say decade

For passing into open space , take off pass assist and you can pass anywhere READ THE MANUAL so many useful tricks in it

For free kicks , the left thumbstick is where you strike the ball ( check the manual for a visual idea of it )
