    "Gentlemans rul

I have been told by more the one fellow manager that this, "blow out" is defined as 5-6 runs .....?

Am I hearing this correctly? Having run leagues myself, I respect the value of stats but also try to SIM as close as possible. That being said, I feel 10 runs is a more fair "blow out". (since thats REAL/SIM as well)

**I gave up 8 runs in the 9th last night for example. I dont want to lose a game because I "let up" after 5 runs only to lose my swing timing and GOOD pitchers getting tired. I think we all know the guiness record for "bloopers" should be recorded in this game. (which leads to 5 or more runs pretty darn quickly)

I DO follow the lead of a good sportsman (by getting MYSELF out during a "blow out") but I AM NOT gonna "stick my tail" between my legs for 5 runs.
Had I been a "ball" type of pitcher, I wouldnt be posting this. AND this goes both ways...I dont feel it is ,even if I am, on the LOSING end of things either.

Not trying to be a sore spot here but I dont want more "unequal" feedback because I couldnt get "myself out" as fast as my opponent would like. If this league stands behind this behavior....then I am not your guy.

I am super active so maybe thats more valuable elsewhere. Just trying to play some baseball and "5-6run" blowouts...isnt baseball. Whether I win or lose.

You were supposed to give up 9 runs in the ninth inning last night!

I don't know what defines a blow out here per se, but I stop trying hard to score with a 3-5 run lead. I will still hit for contact, but eventually I will start a bunt fest, cause bunting makes you hardcore.

The above post was written by an insane man... disreagard.

its hard to let up...unless u stop swinging..and i am sure my opponent would frown upon that......i would rather a 2-1 game but sometimes thats not in the cards,

Thats so true steve. I would love 2-1 extra innings classic but I dont like having "a collar" on my play earlier then it should. Yes, a bunch of low run classics would make me happier..truthfully as long as their genuine.

A 5 run lead is not a blowout.

If you're up by 10 runs in the 9th inning then you shouldnt be power swinging every pitch and stealing bases but no one here is going to ask you to stop trying to score with a 5 run lead.

Thank you. I dont steal anyway because I am terrible at it but just needed clarification. I never swing power after 10.

Just stick with what you are doing Jack and you will be fine. Sounds like you know exactly what it is we are looking for in this league. Sometimes people will do anything get their players at the top of the stat boards at the expense of their opponents...That is what we are trying to avoid.
