From what I understand the character development system will be different for 09. If you play well online or offline your stats go up and if you play bad they go down. I'm not even sure if they are going to give them numerical values but it should be more dynamic. I'm actually starting to wonder about 09 so many changes gulp.

Seems a few people didn't catch that in my first post at the beginning, lol. I don't have to un the league if someone wants this puppy that bad and can do a good job. alternatively, I am sure we could use a few responsible members. We'll discuss a little closer to launch date.

Well so far we have: 1) Xeno72 2) caniacfan 3) bingoking 4) EGHAZZY All interested in helping running a golf league. That looks like 4 teams to me,
I think so far we would be able to have a league next year for 09 tiger plus when it comes out also people will b very interested in the game
So maybe beginning of July taking sign-ups. If you start too early some of the people who signed up are not even at the site by the time the game comes out, lol. Again, this all assuming Tris10 or someone can get something going for us.
Just an outsiders perspective (having never done golf here but thinking about it) but wouldn't it be more prudent to just have an interest thread right before the game comes out. That way you could gauge how many will be getting the game right before the release. Then have signups a week or two after the game hits. Thats just the way I've seen it done with other games and it seems to work well. You never know, Tiger 09 could suck and a lot of people who think they want to be in a league could change their minds.
yeah all good points made, I guess the person or person's in charge of this will make these decisions as we get closer. I am happy to see the interest is back here at LG.
this league needs to b ready and running when game comes out..thats what i feel..this way u catch a lotta the early hype and can run off of it...i dont see why a yearly golf league is not possible... sorry xeno...didnt know anything bout golf league just checked forums and i like golfing and there should be a golf league...wasn't trying to step on toes.
Team leagues are great and all, but how about IN addition to the team league a singles Ladder Tourney or something to the affect for those that want to play as singles? Just a suggestion.
I would be down with a golf league, would be fun. Have not bought a golf game in a long time but this is a great reason to I would think.
I haven't had one since I think 06, maybe 07. But I really want to get back into TW. I know its a really fun game as I had played a lot of the 2000s ones. I do like to see all the interest in LG for it, and I really hope we can get something going for it. Its nice to see interest in a Golf Game, as its not one of the "4 Major Sports" and it would be a really cool thing to get started. As I already posted very early, I am extremely interested in signing up no matter if it is a Team or Singles League.
