Any interest?? I would like to hear from players who of course have the 360 version and have been able to link their Gamertag with GuitarHero.com. I would suggest we could try medium, hard, and expert league with battle, face-off and pro face off If you are using a router - I have found a site that shows you how to config your router to open the proper ports to invite friends to game. The GuitarHero.com site appears to have the mechanics to set-up online tourneys and I would like to try it with 4 people or so to get the mechanics down
Let's go people - talk about a unique league experience. My impression in general is that medium is too easy for a league so it should be set to hard. I suggest a round robin format where everyone plays everyone 2 or 3 times - once each in face off, pro face off and battle in a best of 5 match. each set list (1 through 8 ) would have a value (1 for set 1 8 for set 8 ). Each player gets to pick 2 songs - total value for the two songs chosen has to equal 10 or less. For the 5th song home team gets to pick the set value but away decides what song from that set. Initially bonus songs would not be included. Players get 1 point per song win plus 1 point for match win.
I dont think the interest is there for this game IMO..With rockband coming out in a couple weeks, I can't see GH having a league as I think rockband will. I can't speak for everyone though..
I am not certain, but I believe the multi-player battles for rock band are instrument specific (drums v drums, etc.) and there will not be any 4 x 4 battle of the bands. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/817/817823p1.html As well the Band World Tour will not be online IGN: Why isn't there any online play in BWT? Teasdale: Rock Band features several local and online modes from its deep solo adventure to its expansive full band experience. We want to make sure that the online experience with Band World Tour is perfect and bug-free, and as in-depth and fun as the other modes. In order to do that we'll be bringing online Band World Tour to you at a later date. This doesn't mean you can't play with your friends online though - you can still play with your buddies in a four person band in Band Quickplay or with the head to head modes Score Duel and Tug of War.
this is from Rockbands Q&A PT: What about online competitive? FA: Well a instrument v. instrument mode is there for off and online. Full on band v. band is not. Apparently that'd be TOO awesome.
They have said they will take a look at adding online 4v4 in a later update. I'd rather they have all the single player modes working perfectly first.
wow, i never even thought about 4x4. However, that is gonna be so cool, how how will it work. You both face off on the same song? The voices would be all wack, or would you take turns?
I would be interested in a medium and hard level league/tourney....I think this is they type of league, where the "if you build it, they will come" saying would be true.
You would either have to take turns (which I think would be better, like have a random coin flip to see who goes first) so you could see what your competition does as far as scoring.
