halo 2 is going to be awsome but if they mess up on any little or big thing what whould you think it would be?
I am worried about lag. Of course, the way to avoid this is dedicated servers. I am hoping they don't drop the ball with this. RS3 had a ton of dedicated servers when it was released. I hope Halo 2 has the same.
Yeah i cant really think about anything else it would mess up on. I guess maybe when people start finding glitches and what not that will suck... hopefully they have some way to prevent that..... but besides that i dont see how this game could go wrong. By the way i dont think they would have enough dedicated servers for the amount of people that are going to get it... actually i dont think they will have enough copies of the game!!
I'm hoping they keep the balance of the weapons right. The first game's weapons were very well balanced (except for the needler). I'm just hoping they don't make it where whoever has the sword is unstoppable or the new pulse rifle weak. Also, I hope they take counter measures for those people that camp at spawn locations such as giving the player 5 seconds of invicibility once they spawn.
that will entirely depend on the game, how many players could you host in Ghost Recon. my connection tests at 3.5down and 1.2 up but I could still only host 10 and 12 occassionally if everyone else had solid connection!
most of the high profile 16 player games have had dedicated servers hosted my either the dev or m/s right off the bat. UC had xservers for the first few months and activision and Id hosted rooms for rtcw. i believe ubi did to for r63
Team Compete may have a dedicated or two, but those are primarly for European gamers. We have usually 2-4 running on Rainbow Six 3.
