Most of you know that I have an aids mic. You guys also know if I play fortnite with you there’s a big blowing sound in mic. Well, it’s my ps4. It breathes harder than if I were to walk up 3 flights of stairs. I only looked into reddit for this problem but I couldn’t find the answer. I took apart my ps4, cleaned the fan with a Qtip and it still is a constant fan noise. It only does this on fortnite. Suggestions would be nice. Don’t wanna fork out money for a new ps4 if I can fix it. Yours Truely, Recki
Your best bet is to clear up some storage and download. Do you have other games downloaded to your internal hard drive?
That might just be a fortnite thing, my ps4 goes crazy when I play it too. And most of my friends have the same thing.
Mine did the same thing. When the fan blows that hard, it’s usually cause the heat is trapped and your ps4 is overheating. Try putting your consol somewhere else, where it isn’t surrounded by other things. Solved my problem anyway
Ensure console has good ventilation and not placed within enclosed shelf Preferably placed with all sides open to allow free movement of air around console Open up the console and use compressed air to clean internal dust build up Cleaning dust off internals can be done periodically regardless of where console is placed as dust builds up over time
Maybe move your microphone further away from your PS4's fans. Also I know alot of people max their microphones inputs within the PS4 settings. This causes distortion as well as bringing up what we call "noise floor" which is basically the tone of the room you are in (A/C hum or blowing PS4 fans). Turn down your microphone input so that you aren't clipping a red meter when testing. Sincerely an audio engineer.
