Hi ALL! New and read Well im the new owner of the Marlins. Im excited to be here and get started. A little about me... Since I have read a ton of posts to get to know the league ill start with my age, im 30, no im not old.. [-( I live in Minnesota just north of Minneapolis. I traded in my PS2 for a Xbox this winter, Xbox just had better games over all IMO. I love sports games, been playing baseball for the last month, hope im ready..some settings are different so im nervous hehe Hope to get to know you all soon. I also see how important it is to get games in so dont worry im prepared for that hehe, already PM'd my wk3 guy. Thanks, Andy
Thanks all, I have a question, im sure this is a total noob question but I have never played on Xbox live with baseball, do you do the settings for each game or can you set it up and keep it that way? How do you transfer stats and stuff? sorry for the questions, thanks for any help
You do have to set it up before each game. Pop-fly lock and strike zone can be turned off but hitting "x" on the team selection screen. Everything else you set up while making the room. Stats you get and copy down after the game has been played.
so do you just get your stats or both teams? also what seems to be the best way to contact each person? I dont have AIM or any other IM tool. i can get one I just dont care for them to much, should I get one or just PM here? thanks again
The winner of the game gets both teams complete stats and inputs them into the calculator. As for an IM service, I recommend you get either AIM or MSN. AIM seems to be the one most people have.
hey Linuxx, when you goto the mlb scoreboard now, you should see a bunch of new options in the left column, the top one is "Input score"
here is a printable scoresheet that one of our members created. It may provide to be useful if you do not have a PC next to your Xbox. http://www.leaguegaming.com/forums/view_attachment.cfm?post_id=74466
Thanks for the link. is it best for both to record stats or just the winner? They need a usb port on your xbox and make it able to export stats hehe. Maybe some day... Any other tips you can think of? Thanks
Welcome and if you have anymore questions, just let them roll as it is better to ask than not to.
the lg rule is for winning to take stats unless both party's agree on another arrangment. No point in both taking stats as you will overwrite whom every inserts them first.
ok I did not know that, cool. now what happens if someone gets hurt.. settings go like this.. Additional Options: - using "X" button at the team selection screen Both Teams - Setup Designated Hitter: "AL Home Team" execpt for Brewers Home games change to "On" Wind: On In-game Ejections: On Injuries: On Pitcher Fatigue: On Active Bullpen: On Confidence: On Speed Boosts: On so with Injuries on and someone is out the whole season what do you do then?
I always record the stats just for my own record. Of course, I'm a bit of a geek that way. I've even gone so far as to modify the spreadsheet to calculate ERA, and added other pages to keep the series games in one file...yeah I'm a big geek.
