Hey guys, Has anyone had hosting issues, Issues were people can't get in or stay in a room to start a race? I've hosted a bunch of rooms and seems i've had problems with some members the odd time. For example demonspawn had an issue then stang and notyme last night. I have my NAT settings set to open as my xbox is on a DMZ. Anyone else have problems, cuz this might be a serious issue come "racing time"
After placing my xbox on the DMZ, I was able to connect with you last night no problem Tris10. But Stang could never get into the room I was in, nor I could never get into his room
yea not sure what the problem is i have tried everything so i'm takin another router from work home to try again tonight if that doesn't work then i'm gonna go buy a new router friday. anyone got any suggentions on routers?
guys, here's a handy tool, http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/homenetworking/equipment.htm These are supported routers, if yours in on here however it still might need some adjusting
that tool does nothing. A good router I like to recomend (the one I own) is a DGL-4300 from D-link. It's got one of the best SOHO processors available, as well as gigabit LAN. It's never given me an issue. And if you don;'t want the wireless features, save a few bucks and get the DGL-4100 which is the same exact thing, but no wireless. Either way, the router is only part of the equation. It needs to be setup correctly. port forwarding, or DMZ'd
got all my issues fixed bought a new router this weekend and it works great haven't been kicked off yet!!!! (knock on wood)
did you get any lag? Cuz i remember racing with you and for us in the race, your car would some times move all over the road and couldn't figure out what place you were in
I had this issue even with my DMZ pointing to my 360. I connect with out a problem now, after I opened port 113 on my router. Should be under a security tab.
