You forget that the P in PEMDAS stands for parenthesis? Therefore, you do the equation in the parenthesis first. I've never heard of or been taught a method of going left to right when order of operations is concerned. Sounds like two different teaching methods is all, which result in two different answers lol.

 

Not sure who you, out of all people, are trying to belittle here. In my opinion, it isn't a wrong answer. Maybe you should follow suit. You might win more games playing poker if you know how to answer a few math problems.

8÷2×4 from there yes left to right always since 7th grade.
