Chang is the toughest AI guy to beat I think. If you really want to beat him use a half strength slice serve to the far outside and ASAP move forward and he will return it weak to center court giving you an easy slam to the opposite side.

man he was the toughest A.I. i've ever faces, he's so fast. My only suggestion hit back spin shots to him and then run to the net, you need a strong angle to beat him cuz he'll run everything down

Yeah, that's my favorite serve to change it up on the AI opponents. You still need some smash serves to both of the top corners to keep them off balance, but if you can get a low power top spin serve to the edge of the service box, usually the AI will go way off the court to return it.... so rush the net after you serve and be ready to volley it back to the other side of the court. If they happen to reach that one too, it's usually another easy shot back towards the other side (where you served it to) unless they sent a lob over your head.

Keep slicing until you have him running and then pow, power shot, he should then give it to you soft and kill it, thats how I do it, but I have never beaten him in straight sets.

yeah I was shocked at how hard he was the first time i played him. the first time I ran into chang was after going through Sampras (1), some guy ranked (4) and then Chang ranked in the (30's). he smoked me in straight set couldnt get a point on him to save my ass.

Chang is the toughest guy to beat for sure. My guy is built a lot like Chang, so I think that gave me the edge.

Cant you just look at the players in a slam & back out if you are having major probs with a certain member (Chang is killa) & re enter the slam till ya see some playes you like. I did get Chang finally but man it was tough. Good Luck

well, to be honest, i find that tactic and the one where you turn off the machine - vaguely cheap. i'd rather keep at it and beat him fairly.

not saying other people can't do it.

No man. Your not turning off the machine but backing out of the tourney (B button) then re entering. Im sure many pro player (tennis & others) look at the rosters to decide which tourneys to attend where their chances are better to win & get $$$.

But yeah its best to play the tough guys now cause it only get worse with the top 100 on Live.

I had a lot of trouble with Chang myself... just due to his quickness, and his ability to hit at angles so accurately. But hopefully with this new character I'm developing I might stand a better chance!
