Having ventured into the world of Outlaw Golf 2, I realized that Links is simply the best video golf offering out there. I was caught in the seductive trap of half-naked women and lots of double-eagles, only to find that the game itself was designed with mentally-challenged 11-year-olds in mind. My buddy Splizzo (with whom I played a bunch of OLG2) and I were playing some Halo the other night with Niersty, and he talked us into a game of Links. Ooohhhh man, it was nice to be back. It was like returning to an old love after a long absence.

I miss Links, and I hope the Links League here at LG can find life again.

Im definitely in agreement there. I was bored the other night and saw niersty playing with kittytreats(not sure if you've played with her) while I was sitting around in Halo. so I decided to pop Links in there but niersty had just went to bed I guess. Ended up playing a couple games with her and Rescueman, lost both which is pretty unusual for me :p. But it didn't matter as it was just nice to play it again. Man those guys at MS dont know what they misssed out on by now releasing a new one this year , BASTARDS :(

I'm with you guys, I think I'd rather play another season of this. I really enjoyed playing in this league. :(

Especially because TW was such a dud this past year. MS could have easily made up a lot of ground with a new game.

I too would be all over retro-league rematch...even a slimmed down one.

We could turn it into a one on one match league if we cannot get enough guys to get a team league going again?

That's a possibility but I would think most people would want to use their normal characters this time around, just my 2 cents worth 8)

I'm Game, O Skillz was a lot of fun.

Who knows we could get this going again. Maybe MS would see tha activity on LIVE and maybe step things up again.

Probably not, but we can Dream can't we.

I'm game for some 0 skillz. Playing with maxed out skill point characters got to be boring after a while. No real thought on how to play the hole sometimes... but with 0 skillz I was sweating over every 6-10ft putt.

It's all good to me, I can't seem to bring myself to trade the game in. So since I'll have it at least until the new one comes out Im down for anything we get going.

Plus I just had to make my 1500th post in the Links forum . This is the only place I came to for the first couple months here on LG. I think I'll come back here for 2,000th post as well 8)

    Hey Shush, how about it!

You up for putting another season of 0 Skillz together?

Maybe an intrest thread would be good, just so we know how many would truely want to play again.

I would probably be up for that. Especially after winning the last 0-skills tourney. :D Granted not many people entered the last event but I still had to knock off a few good players, including CanEHdian in the finals. Nothing has been able to replace the intensity of playing those matches (both the 0-skills and team).

WOW...I had no idea this thread would get this many (or any) responses. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who misses this great game.

I'd be down for 0-skills or normal maxed-out-player stuff. Just playing this game competitively again would be a real treat.

0 skillz was a blast. I really missed it during my move and did pretty good when I returned in the summer. I think I finished liked 5th overall even having missed 4 tournaments during my move to Florida. The sweetest was New South Wales though, beating Mr. Cocky in the 2nd round, in my tournament back from retirement and winning the tournament. :)

Ah, you know I didn't read that post very well. Now having done so, it was definitely FC that he's talking about. I remember now. All the tournament winners going through him etc, etc. :)
