Just an Idea that I thought of whilst fingering myself

Alright so I was about 3 fingers deep when an idea popped into my head. This was no ordinary idea, it was an idea that could possibly change LG Gaming as we know it! Anyways, on to this supercalifragilisticespealidocious idea!

We all know that LG runs 5/7 days a week including that very annoying 1 game on Thursday night. How annoying right?

SO, my idea was to have 3 games night! Before you think "Oh Chief is dumb and doesn't know what he's talking about." Hear me out:

PROS:

- Game nights would switch to 3/7 nights a week thus leaving the community as a whole with more free time to do whatever they want with their online friends or even have more free time in the real world. Honestly, I'd prefer 3/7 over 5/7 game nights any day.

- Teams could roll one line each night and players are done for the week. They don't have to worry about playing one game on a Sunday and two games on a Wednesday. One line rolled each night, greater chemistry is built, and bam it benefits each team and their players.

- Game times could be 9pm , 10pm, and 11pm considering some nights we have games start at 9 and some nights where games start at 10. I know this was done for the west players but if its that big for the west players then just play the west players on the later games on game nights.

CONS:

- There are none that I could think of... Probably because I'm so biased in wanting this idea to become a reality. If you guys feel there are cons please let me know in the comments. (not that you won't already)

So guys that was my idea and I'm really hoping we all take it into serious consideration as this would definitely benefit all of us as a whole. Please feel free to leave your thoughts down below, whether they're good or bad. I just ask for no trolls although that would be asking a lot.

Advice from an old guy, don't change something that isn't broken and don't think up ideas when your 3 fingers deep.

Although it's not broken, yet... There is always room for improvement! You can't deny this wouldn't improve the LG experience for majority of the community.

 

Three days is limiting too many people. It's hard enough to get 6 guys to play together now with 5 days per week, try doing it for 3. We would be using ECU's faster than @jboro1227 changing his sheets from jizzing after the Nashville game. If we were going to format anything, I would like to see us move the Thursday game. It is in an awkward spot as it is, and is probably the toughest game to schedule all week.


A better proposal would be move LG from 5 days to 4 days per week with a format of an additional early game, or an additional late game:

Option A (best in my opinion so we can avoid VG conflict):

Sun: 9 and 10
Mon: 9 and 10
Tuesday: 9, 10, and 11
Wednesday: 10 and 11

Option B:

Sun: 9 and 10
Mon: 9 and 10
Tuesday: 10, and 11
Wednesday: 9, 10 and 11

Option C:

Sun: 9, 10,and 11
Mon: 9 and 10
Tuesday: 10, and 11
Wednesday: 10 and 11

Option D:

Sun: 9 and 10,
Mon: 9, 10, and 11
Tuesday: 10, and 11
Wednesday: 10 and 11

 

@frostx17 has some solid ideas always thought the Thursday game was awkward.

You said you didn't know any down sides to this. I was just adding to an idea I agree with (shortening the days of LG). I don't like the format of 5 days for LG. Thursday games are always the toughest games to get people on. It's too early for guys on the west coast, but its not enough games for people on the east coast to want to get on. It's the one game on our schedule that just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Logistically speaking, 3 days a week wouldn't be possible for most teams to conisistently fill an NHL based team that shows up (general statement here). Moving the Thursday game to another day, however, would be something we can all get behind. It benefits everyone involved in the whole deal, and makes things less stressful for people involved that manage the teams.

A spin off of this idea is we can move Friday Night Puck, to Thursday Night Puck in the place of that Thursday game. We would have substantially more involvement from the community as it wouldn't be on a Friday night, and it would keep site traffic up. Maybe do a Friday 6's night where people can wager single games (similar to money 8's with shooters).

The idea to get rid of the Thursday game gets floated around almost every season.

Still has yet to happen.

 

I would love to see adding a game one night to free up thursday. Wins all around. Not necessary, but would be good for managers.

Am I the only one who thinks front-loading the week sucks dick? Generally, I've got meetings and shit I need to be at work early for on Monday and Tuesday. If anything, I wish we played 3 on Thursday. Please don't put 3 on Tuesday.

 

Kill the 11pm games. It's far more inconvenient for guys to play closer to midnight than it is for guys to play closer to dinner time. You can play your games and still have the rest of the night. I feel especially bad for the real east coast guys where the 11pm games are at midnight. No sympathy for euros though. Go eat a baguette ya fucks

 

later is so much better then at 6-7 sports are usually on or people are working. Staying up at midnight to play one game is not that big of a deal go right to bed after.

 

Right to bed after is sometimes 1am with the lag outs and Challenge Club DR issues. I'm fine with the way things are, but the 11pm games are really not pleasant. That being said, I chose to give my availability to those games. If I don't want to play them, its up to me to not sign up for them. I'd rather none more be added though if its possible to avoid.
