This is all non-official talks / ideas I would like the members of this league to state their opinions . Since this is a brand new league, ALOT of new faces , should it be mandatory for members to scout for x amount of teams ?
Idea: Using Pick Up Games Why: Efficient, organized, attracts more attention to the league How: Efficient -You don't have to send XBL messages to all 20+ players that would like to scout -All instructions can be put into the description -Players can sign up under the general position they want and Owners can confirm which players are playing Organized -Players know who their teammates are going to be for the game -Owners know who else is available incase someone could not show More Attention -If we start taking over the pick up games with many FIFA scouting lobbies, it shows the league is active -Using the pick up games will bring people into the chat box, causing more talk in the chat box about LGFA, which shows the league is active Quick things off the top of my head, I am sure I could come up with more... (Death to scouting threads :-D)
Mini tutorial for using scouting games 1 - Main page of LG , click desired pickup game 2 - Signup to the position you want * - Make sure that time suits you , this is a good indicator if you will show up to games or not ... Owners do check punctuality !
No. First this is not an attack at you Tino lol, but this idea, which I've seen mandatory elsewhere, is a dumb/terrible idea. If someone is trying to build a team of friends or good players, and these players have to scout x amount of games, then they will most likely play like shit or "throw the game" in some form. It's a good idea in theory, but at the same time I don't see it ever really taking off. xoxo Maxxi
I cant tell if this is sarcastic, or you just really want to play normal club within a set pool of people with recorded stats.
I honestly think someone on each team should pick any in case there are lagouts or whatever can make thins run much more smoothly
As previously said, an LGFL chatbox would be very helpful to get players, owners, and staff connected with each other and build the LGFL community. You can only do so much with threads. I remember starting up VIFA and we had a strong start but sort of tapered off so I would like to see this build off of the mixed results from League Arena. I'm not sure what plans are for length of season but I think this first one should be relatively shorter than what would be considered once the league is established. I believe a shortened first season would provide a nice, quick sample of how the league will run. As much as we all would love the league to run perfect, it would be foolish to expect an ideal first season with no issues arising. It would also cut down on the possibility of people losing interest as they wouldn't see the season dragging on. I know the focus of the league is playing games but I think it is more important to establish a solid league structure so we can continue the LGFL as long as possible (as opposed to VIFA). Just an idea and maybe someone else can build off of it. What do we want for stats if that hasn't been decided yet? That's all I can think of for now.
The request has been sent to the big man for a LGFA chatbox, so if it is not to much work to put together I am sure Tris can pull it off for us. Not 100% sure on the season length, with the shear amount of sign-ups mixed with the lack of ownerships it is looking like teams will have a Reserve squad of the remaining players that get randomly assigned after bidding. there wont be enough player's on each to run games unfortunately, and this was the biggest thing I wanted to avoid, I fully believe in everyone deserves to play but our hands are kind of tied on this situation.. so having a shorter season would be something we are thinking about, and hopefully have a boost in ownership applications for next season. As for stats, I cant quite remember off the top of my head what we are keeping track of but I think in Tris' demo there is a picture of the stats page.. I know the main ones for sure, Shots, Shots on Target, Goals, Assists, Yellow Cards, Red Cards, Clean Sheets. Hope this answers your questions a bit Cado!
