B R E A K I N G We are hearing from sources close to league officials that online competitive NHL gaming website, League Gaming, is currently being shopped around. While it remains unclear what the amount of the sale will be, our insider sources have reported that a “small down payment on a home” has already been rejected. In 2017 League Gaming was reported to be valued at 50,000 USD. However, since 2017 the ban buy outs have increased significantly with NHLers now creating second accounts to play in lower leagues. Many speculate this was caused by the pandemic lockdown forcing them to stay home even more. Also, the ad space on the League Gaming home page has increased in the last 5 years as well. All of these factors will certainly drive the price up for any potential suitors. We have heard rumors around the league that one of these potential suitors is VG owner Castro. Our team reached out to VG but they did not care to comment on such speculations at this time. It is unclear whether and acquisition will get done and what this will mean for the League Gaming brand. We will continue to provide updates on our investigation. -LG News Coverage
