League Gaming GM Connected League Interest?

Is anyone interested in being part of a GM Connected League?
I know LeagueGaming has hosted a 1v1 league before, and it appears that it'll be easier than ever to run one with GM Connected. Of course we would need a commissioner and interest. I'm sure some people would be interested, and i'd enjoy playing with alot of the members here. It's not like we need 30 teams, I feel like if we reached 18 (3p/division) it's achievable & really solid.

 

Gunhavok and I were going to look into it starting one up on the site as well. I actually do think we will need 30 teams, just because people hate playing the AI. As long as people are interested I don't mind running it, should be easy considering you're supposed to be able to do quite a bit from a web browser.

i will play, but i don't know if it's best for the league. let me know what you think. i can only play on my days off, or between 5-9pm est.

 

I'll just say I'm interested in playing in at least 1 GM Connected league, but I'm not committing to this one at this point.

 

We aren't setting anything in stone with this thread we just want to get an idea how many people are interested if we decide to start one up.

very interested. however i would be even more interested if we did a fantasy type draft. even though its not a draft, at least every team would be relatively even.

Might be interested, once I hear all the details about the league. Not too sure about what gm connected is all about.
If its cool enough, I have 4 players counting myself. But in the mean time I'll be search for other leagues.

Pop...I see you on facebook here and there, I've been inactive on here quite a bit also. It'd be good to have a solid 1v1 league here once again.

 

I love and miss all you guys for real, it's really been way too long for me and Im itching to get back into a league.

I honestly though wasnt thinking of a 1v1 league for this GM connected mode (though Im not opposed to that either) I dont have the game yet might be a few weeks but I just got a 360 and live again and I have '12 right now, but this GM connected mode has me excited as hell, from what I gather, we can basically play full seasons at our own leisure however and whenever the hell we want. Any GM can play their games whenever with whatever settings, against the computer or human 1v1 or 6v6. Any GM can play all their games of a season in a few weeks or months or shit even days if they had the time. You can basically just hop online at anytime, find someone you want to game with or against and play your games right then and there, eliminate the need to setup 9 or 10pm games? for me personally, this is insanely awesome, I simply just cannot commit to weekly set time games, just have too much other stuff in my life to do all that. hence why Im not trying to sign up for any other leagues here. I'd love to but I can't. but with GM connected Im able to play my games at my own leisure and that's got me excited as hell to do.

obviously we'd have to research it all and see how this mode is gonna really play out on live and go from there, maybe some of you guys who have the game now can set up a test league and report on it all and we could move on from there? see how smooth it'll truly run, iron out universal settings we'd agree on, trades, roster limits, etc etc etc

I'd volunteer to help commish the league and help out in any way I can here too. once I get the game obviously I can help out more.

The major limitation of the league is the schedule. Commissioners basically assign a period length (think of it like a week in Madden). If that period length is say two weeks, then during each period if you were the Flyers you would be scheduled against your opponents for those 2 weeks based off the real 2013 NHL schedule. My understanding based on the research I've done is that any trades or signings are processed at the end of a period when the commissioner advances the league. The schedule flexibility is nice, but because I'm planning on having most if not all of the teams human owned it's going to be up to owners to schedule games with their opponents.

One of the nice things the league allows us to do is have multiple owners. I don't think we'll be allowing multiple people to play in a game at once, but if you're someone who doesn't have a ton of time to devote to the league but you're still interested you can basically co own a team with somebody else to ease the burden of playing up to 6 games per week.

Shts2ez we haven't really gotten far into discussing any actual rules, and that includes team selection but if you have people interested could you get them to post. It'll be easier to attract people if they can look and say ok we have 18 people interested versus 10.
