I have been playing a little bit just to decide the conditions.

I believe I will go with light rain, hard & fast greens, breezy (maybe windy), and long rough.

It appears that the light rain might kill the fast greens - so I may get rid of the rain. Should we play the same course as the PGA Championship? Is that available to everyone out of the box? It is a long course and I think that is ideal.

 

I tried out these conditions today on Hazeltine, seems pretty difficult to consistently hit a good score. Though, removing the rain would most likely make putting much more difficult, as the rain does slow things down on the green.

 

do you guys know About the live weather option. It gives you what ever the weather is at the location of that golf course. Just an idea. Keep it random that way. You can also turn that option on when you start you offline career. Just look for the weather option and hit live weather. It's pretty cool

 

Just my 2 cents:if your aiming for sim you should avoid the live weather option. In a real golf outting you all golf at roughly the same time and have roughly the same conditions. With Live weather on one guy could catch rain, one guy could catch 20 mph winds and another could have nothing at all. Making it lose the "golf outting in one day" feel. Set the course "weather" for that day...

Not in the league, Wish I coulda been and you don't gotta listen to me. just a viewpoint on it. Enjoy the league guys.

 

yeah live weather is interesting - but I am gonna try for consistency for at least the 1st one.

I may assign fed-ex cup points at the end as well.

why......If its cause of the site I would not mind saving the score n posting later. Also if its something small I'd think it be in the best interest to start now because the longer the league delays, the closer it is to NHL release and we knw there is gonna be a drop off as proven from previous season.

hey this ;league seems to have slowed down now what with stagg running it and hockey team league starting up... so just give us a couple of weeks and i am going to see if i can take this over and start running it... i will send everybody who is signed up here a private message as soon as i can get a chance to get this going... so if your interested in playing in a couple of weeks let me know... i will try and run things based on a fed ex point series with special events thrown in through out the season...

anyone playing the Tiger online beta? i'd rather play on xbox, but i like the idea of not having to "restart" your character every year. especially since the console games are just like "course packs" each year.
