and there goes half of the people who are willing to own. fuck 2 games per week required at those times... i might not even play. this is going to be peoples 3rd 4th and sometimes even 5th priority when it comes to playing in a league. you guys are taking this way to serious.
If u wanna play casual dont join a league friend its right after lg schedule accordingly or dont play
So, you're upset that the league wasn't catered to people who view Rocket League as their 3rd, 4th and 5th priority?
One question about a slight grey area. For clarity's sake sets consider each 5 minute game a game and then the set of 3 a match. Each player is then required to play 2 matches a week or 2 games?
every team plays those times and games are only 15 mins. I'm sure you can be done for the night by 11:40 latest most nights
Looks pretty good, but I question this part: The games are not p2p, but rather hosted on dedicated servers. There is no "host" player. Do you have any data to back up your claim that this makes a difference? Not a big deal and I wouldn't really even mind if this were the rule. I'm just curious. Thanks!
was pumped for this league but unfortunately no one on my team is interested in more scheduled game. wish everyone best. should be a goodie also me and few guys jumped the gun on the sign up list. how do we cancel that sign up?
People are also forgetting that Rocket League is an esport in itself and this site is NOT just for hockey anymore. Thankfully, new leagues are sprouting up and getting off the ground and new members who won't even play hockey will play in this league. That's the point here for those who are confused. Games being at 11 and 11:30 work for east and west coast people, and those playing early games on NHL but don't play club. The site is not complacent with just being a hockey mecca, even though it is one of the best at that. It's growing, and at a rapid pace. My only point of contest is the stream/host rule. I get why it's in there, but a fair amount of players also have steady enough Internet to host, stream, download movies and have their kids on the WiFi playing games and downloading music, all at the same time. The slipper slope rule applies: If streaming isn't allowed, does the wife have to turn off Spotify? What if the player is in a dorm that's known for throttling? Are they not allowed to host? What about a student watching a documentary on Netflix for homework while his dad plays Rocket League? Or maybe the live-in girlfriend is uploading her latest movie. There's so many tangibles that I think the rule opens up a door for contest. Not saying I hate it, just bringing up a conversation piece to possibly address.
Yeah it's going to hurt the overall numbers having more scheduled times but that's what competitive is for I suppose.
Lmao ya the use of uploading rather than downloading here is fking hilarious glad someone else caught that.
im just saying look at your signup list compared to the initial views on the rocket league interest thread. unless 35 people produced 3000+ views i think they might have lost the masses somewhere. UHL opperates with a ladder successfully and Pro series used too run under that structure until the recent change, where they had alot of forfeiting problems the first season under a schedule plus they were paying to play.... rocket league is an e-sport and should be treated as such, but a scheduled league for the initial season will make it hard for the league to grow, and if 3 or more teams fold there goes the schedule.
I would only argue that the COD league and other startups had the same amount of hype and failed to get off the ground. People get REAL AMPED around new leagues. "Zomg we should have all the games and all the leagues and play on ALL THE TIMES." And then never sign up. Happens a lot.
I always like looking back and reading the message about this being my 5th priority and that I am taking Rocket League too serious but they play a game that hasn't changed in 7 years...
