We went live with LGv3 on Oct 27th 2006, Over a year ago. This was the biggest jump for us where we reinvented LG and what a gaming forum board should be. To this day i'm very proud of what we have done here, and the members we serve on a daily based. As a little thread, i have re-activated the old boards. For those vets, you should remember this very well, for the new guys , here is a look of what we looked like and where we came from LGv2 Board
I remember those days! I tried to login and check ou some old threads of when I started at LG, but if jist brought me to V3
Nice. I came around after the upgrade. Funny story - the upgrade info was on the front page for the longest time. I was waiting and waiting for the upgrade to happen before I realized it was already done.
Oh ok, I was looking at some old posts, and my post are under the name of Wild Rhino, and my old tag PsychopathicM are posts from Bogey....very strange, threw me off for a bit, thinking, I dont remembers saying anything like that
Ya long story behind this, but all the userid's changed when we went to LGv3, And the scoreboards ref'd these numbers and the database where the userid info was held was also new. So as a solution, i took what we had from the vb tables and over wrote the phpbb forums. Twas a huge undertaking to get the scoreboards to retain all the user data from the phpbb software, to the Vbulletin software
This one is a lot more professional as it is. But V2 was easier on the eyes. I prefer a lighter scheme to a dark one.
I am partial to the new board format, that is all I have experienced, I do want to say that any community, that will invest energies in change, with the intension of enhancing the experience for it’s users, is tops in my books. I want to send a quick TY to all of the veteran users that have contributed to this community that I am so graciously a part of now. Peace
