before you right off Calgary remember this: They knocked out seed 3 (Van) Seed 1 (Det) and Seed 2 (SJ) Seems fitting they are to now knock out the top seed in the east

ITs all about Heart and who wants it more. I aint saying Calgary has more of that than Tampa but u can throw skill out the window. As long as a Kipper plays like he has been and so does Bhulin this series is gonna come down to the wire. No bad goals can be let in. But i also think Tampa will take it in 7. Game is paring out a lot differently than I thought it would be, I thought it was going to go to overtime. Honestly and obviously, if the rest of the series is this way, I think it is safe to say that Calgary has given :hcal: anada their first cup in quite a few years, on :hcal: anada's first playoff appearance in 1994 when they were beaten out by Mark Messier and the New York Rangers.
finally in the 3rd period tampa decided to come out and skate. They have looked flat this whole game and if they keep it up they will be giving the cup to Calgary. I have faith in my lightning that they will find there legs and make this an awsome series.
Striker ur starting to sound alot like Alfredsson trying to make predictions here's a saying by John tortorella " just shut your yap" and let the series be played out and see what the outcome is hopefully its the canadian team on the winning side if not then thats ok they give it there best and they should get all the respect from canadians fans of hockey for there effort. good luck to both the flames and lightning it will be a good series. and for ur information the real die hard fans of hockey are canadians not like some americans jump the bandwagon when there team does good but when there team loses everyone hates them.
I think this series will go to atleast 6 games. And as for knocking out the 3rd seeded Canucks, big deal, they didn't have their #2 player and it still took the Flames 7 games and a lucky OT goal to win the series. I personally wouldn't brag on that point. Detroit, yeh, but they are just too old. I think the Lightning were just not mentally sharp and that is their biggest problem. Iginla's goal was nice and the Flames just out hustled the Lightning tonite. As for Iginla being the best and Melrose saying he is the best in the world. He was saying the same thing about Forsberg about 3 weeks ago. Melrose is a joke.
I would leave that comment about americans jumping the bandwagon right there. Right now it is an all out war, USA vs CANDA. Well it should be at least lol. But hey, all you Canadians should look at it this way....we can beat you in the Stanley Cup, and the World Cup this year, so its just better for you guys
Hate to break it to you, but it's still a Canada vs Canada thing, Why you ask? :htb: has 19 Cdn players including their captain (dave), St Louis, LaCavia and richards :hcal: has 15 players also including their captain, coaching staff and their defence core... Even if TB wins, it just means their canadian players are better then Calgary's
True, they do have a lot of Canadians, but we have Tampa lol. I wouldn't mind seeing either team win, I am sure it will be huge either way. But, Tampa is on American soil, so a lot of people are r00ting for 'em.

i dont get this, only the CIty being represented is the US vs Canada issue here. both team have players that have mix of nationality. no offence to our American friends, but YOU HAVENT RECOVERED YET WHEN OUR CANADA BEAT your USA in the olympics 2 years ago
